I’ll Have Another Drops Out of Belmont Stakes, Ends Triple Crown Bid

Horse racing fans will not have another Triple Crown this year.

I’ll Have Another, the winner of The Kentucky Derby and The Preakness and a 4-5 favorite to take home the Belmont Stakes tomorrow and become the sport’s first Triple Crown champion since 1977, has dropped out of the latter race due to a leg injury.

“It’s not tragic, but it’s a huge disappointment,” trainer Doug O’Neill said on The Dan Patrick Show.

Ray Bradbury’s ‘The Martian Chronicles’ to make big screen debut

[HMG Celebrity News] – When the two NASA rovers landed on Mars in January 2004 it caused huge public interest. Now Paramount is planning to harness that interest with a movie of Ray Bradbury’s Martian Chronicles.

First published in 1950 and set in 1999, the book has rightly become a Sci-Fi classic and has so far been made as a radio play, a comic, a talking book [read by Leonard Nimoy] and an NBC mini-series.

Universal also tried to make a film version in 1997 with Steven Spielberg, but that never came together.
