Duggar Family Forms Pro-Life Coalition to Fight "Abortion Holocaust"
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of the popular TLC series 19 Kids and Counting are forming a coalition of pro-life groups to help fight against abortion.
The idea stems from their recent trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC; to the Duggars, abortion is itself a holocaust.
“A couple of weeks after we went to the Holocaust Museum it dawned on us that there is a holocaust taking place right here in America!” the Duggars wrote.

Kyrsten Sinema Becomes First Bisexual Member of Congress
Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has been elected to represent a new Phoenix-area district, becoming the first openly bisexual person to serve in U.S. Congress.
Sinema’s victory came in a year when three states approved gay marriage, and at least five openly gay Democrats were elected to U.S. House seats.
Tammy Baldwin, a Wisconsin congresswoman, also became the first openly gay person elected to the U.S. Senate during last Tuesday’s election.
Sinema had a narrow lead on election night that made the race too close to call, but slowly improved that advantage as more ballots were tallied

Poor Mitt Romney.
First, it comes out that Nicki Minaj is actually not voting for him in November. Now, in the track “To the World” (off the compilation album “Cruel Summer”), Kanye West takes a shot at the Republican nominee for President by hitting him where it counts:

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett Announce Separation
Proving that no celebrity marriage is safe, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have announced their separation after nine years of marriage.
A rep for the couple says the split is “amicable,” though few other details are available at this time.
Arnett and Poehler were married in August of 2003 and are the parents of sons Archie, 3 and Abel, 2.
Arnett guest-starred on Poehler’s Parks and Recreation in 2010, while other shared on-screen credits for the pair included Arrested Development, Blades of Glory, Horton Hears a Who!, On Broadway, Spring Breakdown and Monsters vs. Aliens.

Bethany Appleton, Indiana School Teacher, Arrested for Sex with Students
Bethany Appleton – a 28-year old middle school teacher in Shelbyville, Indiana – has been arrested on 13 counts of inappropriate behavior with minors.
Foremost among them, Appleton reportedly sleeping with at least one student and of plying many with marijuana and alcohol.
According to authorities, a police investigation uncovered several victims between April 2011 and May 2012, as investigators allege Appleton engaged in sexual relations with one victim in her home and provided alcohol and marijuana to others.
She is also accused of drinking and smoking with them.

David Rakoff, Award-Winning Author, Dead at 47
David Rakoff, an award-winning author best known for his dark humor and cynical outlook on life, passed away today after a long battle with cancer. He was 47.
Rakoff wrote for The New York Times and Newsweek, among other publications, and his essay collection “Half Empty” won the Thurber Prize for American Humor. He also penned the bestselling books “Don’t Get Too Comfortable” and “Fraud.”
Rakoff’s death was confirmed by Doubleday and Anchor Books.

Red Dawn Trailer: The North Koreans Are Coming!
The North Koreans are coming, it appears, instead of the USSR in the remake of Red Dawn, the Cold War cult favorite starring Patrick Swayze and Lea Thompson.
Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson star in this reboot, which at least took 28 years to be remade (way more than the new Total Recall or The Amazing Spider-Man).
The 2012 Red Dawn plot is basically the same, in any case.
