Granted, the headline above could apply to many things.
Justin Bieber is number-one in the hearts of teenage girls… talk show bookers… YouTube play lists… charitable organizations.
In this case, however, we’re referring to the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, where “Justin Bieber, Never Say Never: The Remixes” sits atop the list with the most copies sold last week.
Here’s a glance at the top 10, two spots on which are occupied by The Biebs. Incredible.
- Justin Bieber, Never Say Never: The Remixes: 161,000
- Mumford & Sons, Sigh No More: 133,000
- Now 37 compilation: 95,000

David Archuleta Released from Record Label Roster

It’s a sad day for David Archuleta.
The former American Idol runner-up, who captured the hearts of millions during his run to the finals against David Cook, has been dropped by Jive Records. Said a spokesperson for that company: “David was released from our roster.”
Despite his cute face and positive attitude, music is a business – and Archuleta’s 2010 release, “The Other Side of Down,” sold just over 63,000 copies. This was a massive drop from the nearly one million CDs David sold of his self-titled debut.

Justin Bieber may be first in the hearts of countless of fans around the world. But the 16-year old icon finished second at the box office this weekend. By a hair.
Adam Sandler’s Just Go With It earned $31 million on Friday and Saturday, just topping the $30.3 million haul of Bieber’s Never Say Never. Still, Beliebers can take solace in how well the latter film was received by critics.
Perhaps if he had put Brooklyn Decker in his movie, Justin would be number-one…

The Twilight Saga to Come to an End…

Get the tissues out, Twilight Saga fans. The franchise has announced its end date.
The second installment of Breaking Dawn will be released on November 16, 2012, almost a year to the day after the first half of the final film hits theaters.
Stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are scheduled to start filming in Louisiana and Vancouver this fall.
While this is emotional news, remember: the books, movies and characters will live on in our hearts forever… and forever… and forever.
