Halle Berry received bad news in her personal life today: a judge ruled that she cannot move to France with four-year old daughter Nahla.
The actress had been locked in a long-term struggle with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry over her authority to make such a decision, with the Canadian model even arguing at one point that the move would endanger Berry’s life.
Berry, who is engaged to Olivier Martinez, says she never had any intention to take Nahla away from her father, but the ruling still did not turn in her favor, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports that Halle is motivated by security in asking a judge for permission to move to France with Nahla – something Gabriel Aubry is trying to block.

The actress won her battle in court today, as a judge decreed that Franco – still jailed after his arrest earlier this month outside Berry’s residence – must maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Berry and her three-year-old daughter, Nahla, for at least three years.
Franco was spotted on three separated occasions during a weekend in July, with authorities finally apprehending him on the Oscar winner’s property after her security team detained him.

Richard Franco has been arrested for allegedly trespassing on Halle Berry’s property over the weekend, but the crazed fan entered a plea inside a Los Angeles courtroom yesterday and denied all charges. His attorney said Franco was not guilty of felony stalking.

Halle Berry called 911 twice this weekend, both times because a suspicious man was spotted on her property.
The first incident took place on Saturday, as police arrived at Berry’s Los Angeles home after someone leaped over her home’s protective wall and was lurking in the front yard. Guests ran out to confront him, but the intruder fled.
A similar incident developed yesterday. Berry was actually at her kitchen window and spotted a man just staring at her, holding a book. Once again, though, the unwanted man was gone by the time cops – and even a helicopter! – answered Berry’s call.
