Haley Reinhart Signs Record Deal

The unexpected rise of Haley Reinhart to third place on season 10 of American Idol surprised many viewers. But critics better get used to this singer: they’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the future.
Entertainment Weekly confirms that Reinhart has signed a deal with Interscope Records, the same label that fellow Idol finalist Pia Toscano calls home. No word yet on an album release date, or any future single, but expect to hear plenty of Haley’s raspy voice going forward.
We can’t wait!

American Idol Final Four Take the Stage in Atlanta

There’s no rest for the talented.
Just days after they all performed on the season 10 finale of American Idol, champion Scotty McCreery and the rest of the final four took to the stage again in Atlanta. They were on hand to help open a new Microsoft store in the city.
On a hot afternoon, Scotty performed “I Love You This Big,” “Gone” and “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” while Lauren went with “Flat on the Floor” and “Like My Mother Does.” Haley Reinhart and James Durbin also belted out a few singles, all of which are posted below. Watch and enjoy!

The Dark Knight Rises First Look: Tom Hardy as Bane

The publicity machine for The Dark Knight Rises is officially revving up.
A promotional image of Tom Hardy as Bane has been released, along with a Twitter handle called @TheFireRises and a new website. Check out the image right here:
Christian Bale, of course, will return to the franchise as Bruce Wayne/Batman, while Gary Oldman comes back back as Commissioner Gordon. Aside from Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will appear as John Blake, a special assignment cop.
Moreover, Anne Hathaway has signed on as Catwoman, while Marion Cotillard will portray Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises employee.

Haley Reinhart was eliminated from American Idol last night.
To many, though, it was shocking that this singer even made it as far as the final three. Even she admitted, in a post-episode interview with journalists, that she struggled early on.
“I think I took a lot of risks in the beginning early on, when usually you do the opposite. Maybe America didn’t know how to take me. I started getting into my own little niche, the rock bluesy sultry feel, throughout and I think America finally started to catch on and they kept me around!”

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff had a great run, but ultimately fell short of the finals on last night’s Dancing with the Stars results show.
The Karate Kid star says his elimination wasn’t exactly a shock, but insinuated that the judges dug a hole for himself and Karina Smirnoff.
“We feel like the comments from the judges last night put us in a pretty tough position – even for our fan base – to pull it out,” he says.

Like many (who are we kidding, all) of his co-stars, Josh now stars in THG’s celebrity mug shots gallery as well. Dude’s in jail as we write this!
Drummonds’ own mom told the police he forged her signature on a $30.00 check, landing him behind bars in Monroe County, Michigan. So worth it!
According to the criminal complaint, Josh wasn’t looking for a huge payday, writing five checks to himself totaling $270. The amounts ranged from $30-100.

Fresh off a successful run on Dancing With the Stars last season and another as the star of her own reality show, A Family Business, Brandy is looking ahead to the next step – teaming up with Ray J to launch the Norwood Talent Agency Corporation!
The agency, with which Ray and Brandy (who are brother and sister) will also run with their parents, will run out of Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel, and “aims to represent individuals across various entertainment platforms.”

Leighton Meester and Justin Long were spotted holding hands recently.
Didn’t see that coming, but it happened outside La Poubelle in Hollywood while they ate dinner on Sunday. Not only that, the actors weren’t trying to hide.
“They were happily willing to talk to fans who approached them,” an onlooker says of the duo, who dined for over two hours and stayed out past midnight.
LONG SHOT: Justin and Leighton? Apparently it’s on!
Reps for the stars didn’t immediately comment about their relationship, if there is one. Leighton has been single since breaking up with Sebastian Stan.

Hip-Hop Star Cassidy: Murder Suspect?

Hip hop star Cassidy, best known for his hit song “I’m a Hustla,” has been named a suspect in a murder case AND two attempted murder cases.
Cassidy was arrested in Hackensack, N.J., this weekend on a probation violation. The arrest was made in connection with the alleged crimes in Philadelphia.
He’s on probation for involuntary manslaughter.
According to TMZ, Philadelphia police asked local authorities to arrest Cassidy on the probation violation, and even went so far as to warn them “to consider [Cassidy] both armed and dangerous,” saying it was a “high-risk warrant.”

Neve Campbell and John Light: It’s Over!

Neve Campbell and her husband John Light are splitting up.
The Scream star and her soon-to-be-former-hubby filed a confidential settlement agreement which divides up all the assets in their marriage May 6.
The terms of the settlement are not known, but when she filed for divorce she asked the judge to deny Light, an English actor, spousal support.
They were married four years and one day before filing to end it. Not exactly a fun anniversary, we’re guessing. Hopefully it works out for the best.
