The gun control debate is on, and it is more heated than ever.
In the aftermath of the Connecticut school shooting, CNN’s Piers Morgan absolutely went OFF on guns and gun rights advocates on his program Friday.
Wherever you stand on the issue, this is a must-watch:Piers Morgan Gun Control Rant
The conversation got heated when Morgan asked “why on Earth” anyone would advocate for more guns, given the unspeakable carnage at Sandy Hook.
“If we could suddenly make all guns disappear, I’d have a different position,” replied Steve Dulan of the Michigan Coalition of Responsible GunMore >
In the wake of this morning’s Empire State Building shooting – in which Jeffrey Johnson is accused of killing a former coworker and wounding up to eight bystanders – New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has issued a statement.
“Earlier this morning, a man who had been fired from his job about a year ago began shooting. He killed one person, at least nine shot. Some may have been accidentally shot by the police,” Bloomberg said as a summary, adding:
“I ask everyone to keep victims in their thoughts. This is a terrible tragedy, and it would be no doubt more tragic without the heroic actsMore >

Our thoughts and prayer go out to all victims of the senseless shooting inside a Colorado movie theater early this morning.
But we take this time to recognize Jessica Ghawi, a 24-year old aspiring sportscaster who lost her life in the attack, because her tragic story is almost impossible to believe.
Ghawi, who wrote a blog under the name Jessica Redfield, posted a recent entry in which she detailed just how fortunate she had been to narrowly escape a fatal mall shooting in Toronto last month that left one person dead and seven injured.

Soulja Boy claims he was taken advantage of as 16-year-old in 2007 by his ex-manager, who he feels exploited his naivete with unreasonable contracts.
The rapper filed the documents in Georgia Superior Court, claiming his manager / lawyer Philip Ransom coerced him into signing multiple unjust deals.
He calls the terms “unconscionable, oppressive, and unjust.”
So what did he agree to that’s so oppressive, you ask?
The contracts included a management deal that gave Ransom 5 percent of Soulja’s income … forever … relating to work completed under his management.
Another contract allegedly gaveMore >
After Sunday’s nominations of Rachel and Jeff, Kalia put herself in a tight spot. Yes, she stuck to her guns, but long term, she’d become a big target.
What we didn’t count on was Lawon being thrown in the mix.
By his own doing, it turned out. We’d been waiting for this lovable crazy man to make a move for weeks, but no one could have seen this coming.
THG recaps last night’s Big Brother installment below …
Rachel has an epic pity party after the nominations, and without Brendon there to talk her down, it just gets worse and worse. Plus 9, because as painful as she is, it’s entertainingMore >
In our Bachelorette recap earlier, we touched on many burning questions from last night, most of which we may never fully know the answer to.
Why did Bentley Williams go on the show? Why did he treat Ashley like garbage? Why didn’t ABC boot him? How can he be allowed to return!?
One thing is clear: We need Chris Harrison like never before.
Below are excerpts from Chris’ EW blog this morning, in which The Bachelorette host addresses the scourge of society that is Bentley:
