Green Lantern Shines at the Box Office

Green Lantern was trashed by movie critics around the country. It also featured Blake Lively with her clothes on for a change.
Despite these two drawbacks, the superhero film was number-one at the box office, beating out a pair of sequels, Jim Carrey’s latest big screen effort and J.J. Abrams’ alien adventure.

The weekend’s top five highest grossing films were:
- Green Lantern: $52.7 million
- Super 8: $21.3 million
- Mr. Popper’s Penguins: $18.2 million
- X-Men: First Class: $11.5 million

Hollywood was taken over by Green Lantern fever last night.
Every bit as charismatic and handsome in person, Ryan Reynolds walked the red (black) carpet at the Green Lantern premiere, speaking with fans and reporters alike outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd.
Our partners at Reel Movie News were lucky enough to speak with the A-list lead about the film and chatted with some of his co-stars as well.

New Green Lantern Trailer: First, Epic Look!

The universe and Warner Brothers are counting on Ryan Reynolds.
The studio has released a final, epic trailer for its big screen comic book adaptation of Green Lantern, a $150 million CGI romp through colliding worlds and space.
Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, a pilot who is chosen by a mythical green ring to wield the mighty powers needed to save the universe from evil, among other stuff.
Joining him is an elite team known as the Green Lantern Corps., as well as a love interest played by Gossip Girl beauty Blake Lively. Watch the new trailer here:

This is totally the most boring A-list celebrity divorce ever.
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds, who surprised fans by confirming their separation earlier this week, did not split up amid any scandal.
Rather, they confronted the issues that distance created in their marriage, at first believing the relationship might not be irretrievably broken.
In the end, they amicably agreed it just wasn’t happening.
