Amy Smart won’t need to do any home repairs for the rest of her life.
That’s because the actress got engaged this week to HGTV star Carter Oosterhouse. Smart made the announcement, which she deemed “new” and “exciting,” at the Earth Lovers in Celebration of Earth Day event in New York on Thursday.
The couple met in November of last year and a pal says they instantly had something in common: affection for the environment.
“He’s an eco-carpenter; Amy drives a hybrid and is the greenest girl I know,” says the friend. “They are perfect for each other.”

(HMG Celebrity News) – Zsa Zsa Gabor has been rushed back to the hospital in shock over friend Elizabeth Taylor’s death. Gabor’s publicist John Blanchette says the news of Taylor’s death has sent the 94-year-old actress back to the hospital with high blood pressure. Gabor has been in an out of the hospital in the last year and her right leg was partially amputated in January. Roommate of Mike Starr Details Rocker’s Final Hours, Drug Use

The day after former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr was found dead in his home, we may have a better idea of what led to this tragedy.
While autopsy results have not been revealed, Starr’s roommate tells TMZ his friend was “mixing” methadone and anxiety medication hours before he died. He had reportedly been using the former in an effort to get sober, while downing the latter to deal stress from his arrest last month.
Says the roommate: “Mike was a beautiful person who was fighting to stay sober… I am going to miss him greatly.”
