The Backstreet Boy tells People he has found his fire and, yes, his one true desire: Nick is engaged to Lauren Kitt!
Carter says he had the ring in his pocket for “two weeks” and he finally popped the huge question during a boat ride through the Florida Keys.
However… “My boat was in such bad condition because I hadn’t used it for, like, six years,” he explains. “It took me five days literally on my hands and knees, scraping up my body [to fix it,]. The engine wasn’t complete yet but we still decided to go out.”

Shaun White might dominate in the air of winter, but the snow boarder extraordinaire got himself in some trouble early Sunday morning on the grounds of a Nashville hotel.
Here’s what allegedly went down:
The Nashville Metro Police Department says cops were called to the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel around 2 a.m. because a clearly drunk White evacuated the facility by pulling the fire alarm. He also reportedly smashed a phone.
When another guest tried to stop The X Games champion from fleeing the scene via taxi, White kicked that individual and sprinted away on foot. Or tried to, at least.

White People’s Day: Chris Rock July 4 Tweet Sparks Debate, Outrage

In wishing people a Happy White People’s Day July 4, Chris Rock stirred up debate and sparked controversy as many accused the outspoken comedian of racism.
On Independence Day, the star fired off the following tweet: “Happy white peoples independence day the slaves weren’t free but I’m sure they enjoyed fireworks.”
Predictably, some people went absolutely ballistic.
Rock is, of course, 100 percent correct in noting that black people in America were kept as slaves and treated horribly – for nearly a century after 1776, no less.

The America’s Got Talent auditions continued to roll on in Tampa Bay, Florida tonight – and Nick Cannon continued to hog the spotlight. The producers really need to tone down the amount of Nick interacting with the contestants. Seriously. This isn’t Nick Cannon’s Got Friends.
Overall, there weren’t a lot of great performances. The weird acts that we watched included a haircutter that tried to be Edward Scissorhands; a stunning but stereotypical hula hooper; an above-average magician; and a “Boss” dance group that may be a little too out there for mainstream America.

Steven Tyler stole the spotlight for a few moments on American Idol last night, announcing that he and Aerosmith will be hitting the tour this summer for the band’s first tour since 2009.
“We’re calling the tour the Global Warming Tour,” Tyler said like only he can. “Because of the fire. Yo tengo el fuego.”
Earlier in the day, Tyler gathered at the Grove in Los Angeles – along with bandmate Joe Perry – and also revealed that the legendary group will release a new album – its first in eight years – some time later this year.

The subtle rings they wore to the 2012 Academy Awards appeared to be a quiet way of announcing that marriage at the Oscars on Sunday evening.
Adding fuel to the fire, jeweler Jamie Wolf confirmed in a press release that she designed Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied’s “wedding rings.”
Wolf created two diamond rings for the 2011 Oscar winner, made to fit on either side of Portman’s engagement ring, and a platinum band for Millepied.
