First Alien Earth Planet to Be Found in 2013?

The first “alien Earth” planet is likely to be spotted next year, according to astronomers.

An epic discovery that would cause humanity to reassess its place in the universe, the feat is believed to be possible, even likely, by scientists in 2013.

Researchers have honed in on a number of exoplanets in recent years that share key traits with our own world, such as size or inferred surface temperature.

They have yet to bag a bona fide “alien Earth.” But just wait, scientists say.

Lindsay Lohan’s maligned publicist Steve Honig has called it quits amid one public relations disaster after another from the downwardly spiraling starlet.

“He’s resigned as Lindsay’s publicist Wednesday night,” a source tells E! News.

Honig, however, declined to elaborate on why he’s decided throw in the towel.

“I’m not discussing this out of respect for my client,” he said of his ex-client.

George Zimmerman Bond Hearing: Judge Delays Decision as Trial Preview Unfolds

A Florida judge delayed his decision today on whether to let George Zimmerman out of jail on bond a second time. Meanwhile, both prosecutors and the man accused of murdering Trayvon Martin and laid out elements of their case at the bond hearing.

Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman’s $150,000 bond earlier this month, believing the defendant and wife Shellie Zimmerman intentionally tried to mislead the court about their financial situation in April so he would be granted bond.

Zimmerman denies lying and wants the $150,000 reinstated.

Dennis Rodman: Broke, Facing Jail Stint Over Failed Child Support

He was best known for grabbing rebounds, but now former NBA star Dennis Rodman could use an assist. In life.

An Orange County court commissioner told the Hall of Famer yesterday that he will be held in contempt – and face 20 days in prison – over the $860,376 in child/spousal support he owes his ex-wife.

Rodman has until May 29 to come up with the money, but it could be a problem says his financial advisor, Peggy Williams. She claims her client is broke.

Remember Ted Williams? The Man with the Golden Voice? The guy who sky-rocketed to fame because he has a deep voice and because America is obsessed with rewarding those who don’t actually accomplish anything?

And who then ended up in rehab a few weeks later?

IRS Barks at Bow Wow to Cough Up $90K

Bow Wow may not be Lil Bow Wow anymore, but he’s in a Lil trouble with the federal government over some back taxes. Like more than 90 grand worth.

A tax lien filed in Florida by the U.S. government says the rapper owes Uncle Sam $91,105.61 to be exact for unpaid taxes dating back to the year 2006.

Bow Wow took to his blog to dispute the report of his financial troubles, calling it “not true,” and advising his fans not to believe celebrity gossip outlets.

John Ann Hotchkiss Confirms Suspicions: My Son Was Murdered!

A coroner has ruled out foul play, but John Ann Hotchkiss – the mother of Russell Armstrong – has confirmed in a new interview: “We want a murder investigation. We will do whatever is necessary to proceed.”

Hotchkiss simply can’t fathom that Russell would take his own life – she says he was “warm and personable” and “loved his children to a fault” – and believes his financial struggles left him open to a “set up.”

“No one is accusing Bravo,” Hotchkiss clarifies to Us Weekly. “We think someone conspired to have him murdered and it is open as to who did it.”

Lenny Dykstra Arrested For Embezzlement … From His Own Bankrupt Estate

Former baseball all-star Lenny Dykstra was arrested last night after being targeted by federal agents for embezzling more than $400,000 … from himself.

According to the U.S. Attorney in L.A. … Lenny arrested by local authorities and later charged with one felony count of embezzling from a bankrupt estate.

Officials claim Dykstra, who filed for bankruptcy in 2009, “stole and destroyed more than $400,000 worth of property in the estate.” That sounds illegal!

Demi Lovato Settles with Assault Victim

After a bit of back-and-forth in the press between attorneys, Demi Lovato has settled with Alex Welch.

Terms of the financial arrangement were not disclosed, but the rehabbing singer will pay the back-up dancer – who she slugged in the face prior to entering a treatment facility in Illinois – a certain amount in order to avoid a lawsuit.

Said Donald Karpel, Welch’s lawyer, TMZ: “The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely.”
