LeAnn Rimes: I Was NOT DRUNK on X Factor!

LeAnn Rimes swears she was not drunk on The X Factor last night, despite a head-scratching performance and a lot of speculation regarding it.

The 30-year-old strongly denies earlier celebrity gossip reports that she was impaired during her duet with finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar on Wednesday.

The singer was “in no way impaired,” and any awkwardness was from “trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song.”

LeAnn, through her lawyer Larry Stein, said Carly was nervous and had difficulty with some of the notes, and she was doing her best to help her

The X Factor Opens with Tribute to Sandy Hook Elementary Victims

Before Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens and Fifth Harmony battled it out on The X Factor finale last night, the episode opened with a powerful tribute to the victims of last week’s Newtown, CT massacre.

“Words cannot describe what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School last week,” Simon Cowell said at the outset, adding:

“We’re all deeply saddened by the tragedy, and our hearts right now go out to the families. You’ll always be in our prayers, and you’ll always be in our hearts, and this is our tribute to you.”

From there, as seen below, contestants broke into a rendition of

The X Factor Results: Who Made the Top 12?

The X Factor went from 16 to 12 tonight, as four contestants – one from each group – were sent packing. In somewhat complicated fashion.

First, each judge deemed two singers from his/her troupe to be safe; they went straight to the next round. Then, the remaining pair of hopefuls sang against each other for their X Factor lives.

Take CeCe Fry, for example, who belted out this beautiful version of “Out Here On My Own.”

So, who got the axe? The following quartet was eliminated:

  • Willie Jones
  • David Correy
  • Diamond White

The X Factor Groups: Who Will Go Home?

Do the groups stand a chance this season on The X Factor?

Eliminated early on last year, the remaining contingents have Simon Cowell in their corner this time around, as each made its case to advance to the Top 12 last night.

Were you impressed by Sister C’s vocals? Lyric 145 going boom and shaking the room? 1432 making like Taylor Swift? Or Emblem3 keeping their collective shirts on?

Khloe Kardashian: Anxious, Excited for The X Factor!

For reasons that defy comprehension, Khloe Kardashian will co-host The X Factor when it goes live next month.

And how does the less annoying version of Kim Kardashian feel about this gig? Anxious.

“What if I get kicked off the show because I say something so bad?” Khloe asked during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Friday. “That is what I’m nervous about, but listen, I can’t be anyone else but myself. I just have to control the language a little bit.”

Kardashian will share the stage with Mario Lopez, who she refers to as “the nicest guy” and someone who will “take

Julia Bullock on The X Factor: Pumped Up, Kicking A$$

She’s no Jeffrey Gutt, but Julia Bullock, an 18-year-old from Charlotte, N.C., made a good enough impression on the judges to make it through to Boot Camp too.

Her version of Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” was one of the highlights last night on The X Factor, which clearly used up most of its talent Wednesday.

Julia ditched her bandmates, which included her ex-boyfriend, in trying out for the Fox show. Think she’s got a chance to make it far? You be the judge below:

The X Factor Season 2 Poster: Unforgettable. UnXpected.

The X Factor find not have a Season 2 host. But it now has a Season 2 poster.

With a pink background and the incredibly witty use of the letter X, the Fox competition has unveiled the following promotional shot of L.A. Reid, Simon Cowell, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato:

These four comprise the judging table, of course, but producers are still on the lookout for one male and one female judge.

Khloe Kardashian has made it clear she’s interested in the gig, while Kevin McHale of Glee has become a popular choice on the boys’ side. All we know is that the series better make a selection soon:

Kevin McHale to Co-Host The X Factor?

Season two of The X Factor is just over a month away, and Simon Cowell’s revamped competition is missing one key element: a host.

The show has struggled to find a replacement for Steve Jones, who was dumped following a lackluster opening season. With producers reportedly seeking a male and a female to take the Brit’s place, Khloe Kardashian has moved toward the top of the list for the latter position.

And now multiple sources confirm that Glee star Kevin McHale is also under consideration for the gig.

Britney Spears Walks Off X Factor Set Again as Drag Queen Covers "(You Drive Me) Crazy"

For Britney Spears, listening to a drag queen try out for The X Factor by singing a cover of one of her hit “(You Drive Me) Crazy” hit a little close to home.

During Monday’s auditions in Greensboro, N.C., Spears stormed off the set after the man, dressed partially as a woman, rocked through her 1999 single.

Spears, 30, reportedly “looked stunned” throughout the performance.

Fellow judge L.A. Reid patted her on the back, while Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell could not muster anything beyond covering their faces with their hands.

Reid and Lovato followed Britney off the set, while Cowell

Gene Simmons’ Daughter Sophie Auditions For X Factor

Gene Simmons’ daughter did not spend Father’s Day with her dad. Instead, Sophie Simmons flew out to San Francisco to try out for The X Factor.

While Gene and Sophie do have a close relationship, Sophie decided to spend Sunday with Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

“This isn’t about my dad. This is all about my audition,” Sophie reportedly told the judges, asking to be judged on merit and not by her surname.

Sophie may or may not have made it to the next round, but with a rock star for a dad, she’s likely not afraid of performing on the stage at least.

Stacy Keibler to Join The X Factor?

If Simon Cowell is going for looks over talent, he’s on the right track.

With Britney Spears negotiations reportedly still ongoing, sources now say The X Factor is considering Stacy Keibler for a role on its upcoming second season. In what capacity? It’s unclear, although co-host seems most likely.

An insider cites Keibler’s “lack of experience in the music business” as a drawback for making this former WWE Diva a judge, but adds that the beauty “looks fantastic and has bags of charisma.” Would this be enough to cast her as emcee?

She would seemingly fit Cowell’s criteria, as Simon told
