It’s been quite the week for Chris Brown, who’s been involved in a series of near-dustups – and apparently has yet to bury the hatchet with rival Drake.
After attending a charity benefit at an L.A. bowling alley and exploding at the valet last night, Brown made his way to Hollywood’s Emerson Theatre.
There, he became disgruntled when a DJ played some Drake.
According to witnesses, around 1:20 a.m., Brown hopped up from his center table under the DJ booth and requested the mic to speak to the crowd.
The DJ had Drake’s song, “Started from the Bottom,” cued up when CB ordered theMore >
YOLO. It’s not just an overused phrase by wannabe cool kids anymore.
Drake, who is often credited with popularizing the shortened, acronym version of “You only live once,” hinted Tuesday that he wants a cut of these profits.
Specifically, the Canadian rapper called out Macy’s and Walgreens.
The 26-year-old rapper posted an Instagram shot of several “YOLO” hats for sale, writing, “Walgreens… you gotta either chill or cut the cheque.”
Somehow, we doubt the cheque is in the mail.
He also called out another major retailer, posting an Instagram shot of “YOLO” on a Charlie BrownMore >
Drake raps on the hit song “Make Me Proud,” featuring Nicki Minaj.
He certainly made his family, friends and fans proud Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Tweeted, “97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school.”
“Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending 5 months working tirelessly with me!!”
The Canadian rap star has been studying with Janzen, a teacher at Vaughan Road Academy in Ontario, Canada, since the end of his tour earlier this year.
With her help, he completed the coursework andMore >
This is an interesting footnote to the kiss between Rihanna and Chris Brown at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards … she’s apparently not a big Drake fan.
In the video below – taken seconds after Drake and Lil’ Wayne and crew went to go claim their award for Best Hip-Hop Video – the camera zooms in on Rih.
She appears to be mouthing “I hate those a$$holes.”
Sitting just a few seats down from Drake, Weezy and Nicki Minaj, Rihanna also refused to clap for the rapper when his name was announced Thursday.
Her (apparent) reaction is a bit ofMore >
With America’s Independence Day coming up on Wednesday, it would be easily to overlook Canada Day today … but that would just be a travesty.
Some of Hollywood’s hottest stars, young and old, hail from north of the border – some of whom you might not even realize were Canadian!
On July 1, Canada’s holiday commemorating the anniversary of becoming a united country, here’s a gallery of some of the most noteworthy …
Pretty impressive gallery by any measure, but even more so when you consider that a mere 34 million people – fewer than California – live in Canada!

W.i.P. nightclub feels Tony Parker’s lawsuit against them is baseless and that there is no way they could have predicted the melee that went down.
NBA star Parker filed a $20 million lawsuit this week, claiming the club is responsible for the Chris Brown-Drake fight in which he was injured.
Parker sustained a scratched retina from shards of glass flying after Brown, Drake, Meek Mill and threw down, requiring eye surgery as a result.
Tony says it’s obvious “there was bad blood between Drake and Brown” (allegedly over Rihanna) and that W.i.P. staff should have known better.
Moreover, heMore >
San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker is suing the Manhattan nightclub where a fight between Chris Brown and Drake broke out and led to mass chaos.
Why? Because the NBA star suffered a scratched retina when glass bottles and shards started flying during the melee, according to news reports.
The baller, who is expected to be fine in time for the Olympics but must wear a patch on the eye for several weeks, seeks $20 million in damages.
New York officials shut down W.i.P. nightclub in the aftermath.

Drake is back in the news for his music, though he’s courting controversy there as well, as his collaboration with 2 Chainz is believed to be a shot at Rihanna.
A week after the infamous Chris Brown-Drake fight – allegedly over Rihanna – went down at New York’s W.i.P nightclub, the new video is raising eyebrows.
That’s because in “No Lie,” Drake joins 2 Chainz and raps rather negatively about a girl who happens to be a Grammy winner. Makes you wonder.
“Aww that look like what’s her name, chances are it’s what’s her name/Chances are if she was actin’ up then IMore >
The nightclub where Chris Brown and Drake threw down has been shut down.
Both W.i.P. and Greenhouse nightclubs – located in the same building and jointly owned in Manhattan – were shuttered on Saturday night by the NYPD.
Is the epic fight that went down between the music stars’ camps to blame?
Yes, but indirectly. Previous violations had been reported before the nightclub fight, and police looking into the brawl may have uncovered even more.
Details are scarce, but police say it was “closed as a result of several violations in a stipulation agreement made by the owners and theMore >
A model who claims she required 12 stitches after she was caught up in last week’s Chris Brown-Drake fight plans to sue … possibly both of the musicians.
Javier Solano, a lawyer representing Lucy Pavlovsky, says the model was in the VIP section at W.i.P. Nightclub when the violent fight went down.
He says Lucy ducked down when bottles started flying and didn’t notice her arm was gushing blood until she was making her way out of the club.
Solano says Lucy took a cab to the nearest hospital, and got a total of 12 stitches to close up two cuts on her arm, along with a tetanus shot.
If Rihanna didn’t feel like she was the only girl in the world before this week, the violent nightclub altercation between Chris Brown and Drake – or at least their entourages – certainly could be seen as an ego boost … or just scary.
She is, of course, Brown’s ex and Drake’s friend, collaborator, and rumored hookup.
For her part, she was at a different club, with Brown, earlier in the week, but Rih was nowhere to be found at W.I.P. when things got ugly Wednesday.
She heard about it, though, says a source who claims Rihanna “loves this! Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of courseMore >
An innocent girl and one of Brown’s bodyguards were caught in the middle of a brawl between Chris and Drake. The incident that started as a taunt ended up brutal and bloody. While Chris Brown tweeted a photo of his wounded chin, Drake claims that he never threw a bottle or even a single punch.
It happened in a New York City nightclub when hip hop rivals Chris Brown and Drake started a brawl reportedly because of Rihanna. Witnesses say that the fight started when Chris Brown sent over a bottle of champagne to Drake’s table as a “peace offering.” Drake was said to have sent a bottle back withMore >
It looks like last night’s wild fight between Chris Brown and Drake was, in fact, about the former’s ex and the latter’s rumored hookup, Rihanna. Imagine that.
Sources also indicate that while Drake’s telling the truth when he says he wasn’t involved physically in the epic melee that ensued, he definitely stirred the pot.
Drake gave Brown the middle finger, engaged in some serious trash talk, and recruited several other rappers to join his posse before the brawl, witnesses say.
Tension started escalating, supposedly, when Drake gave the middle finger to one of Chris’ bodyguards andMore >
A new Pusha T song, “Exodus 23:1,” is the cause of a budding hip hop feud between the artist and Lil Wayne’s Young Money crew, including Drake.
In the song, Pusha T does not name either Drake or his YM boss Weezy, but it’s apparently obvious to peeps who listen to this stuff what he’s referring to.
As a result, Wayne fired back at Pusha T and his supporters via Twitter: “Fuk pusha t and anybody that love em,” he wrote on the social media site.
On “Exodus 23:1,” Pusha raps:
“Contract all fucked up / I guess that means you all f–ked up / You signed to one n—-, that’s signed to another n—-,More >
What seemed like an ordinary evening out turned into the time of one young woman’s life thanks to rapper Drake hopping on stage to sing karaoke with her.
Dalal, a.k.a. “Dee,” a student from Kuwait, got a text from a friend who DJs at Saddle Ranch in L.A., telling her to stop by because a celeb was in the house.
“When I showed up I asked Jay who the celebrity was and he said he was not sure, and that I should go find out,” said Dee, a karaoke regular there.
Dee then took the stage to sing Rihanna‘s hit “What’s My Name,” and …
