DC Police Under Investigation For Helping Out Charlie Sheen

(HMG Celebrity News) – We’ve mentioned that Charlie Sheen has hinted at running for president, citing a Huffington Post presidential poll that “had me annihilating that lunatic from Alaska,” said Sheen, referring to former Gov. Sarah Palin.  Prior to his Torpedo tour stop in D.C. a couple of days ago, Charlie spent his day in LA trying to gain fully custody of his young twin boys away from their mother Brooke Mueller who is back in rehab for the umpth-teen time.

Before leaving LA Charlie also stopped to pee in a cup to prove he is still sober and took a private jet across the country.

Jack Quaid, Leven Rembin Join The Hunger Games

Using its official Facebook page to make the announcement, Lionsgate just unveiled the casting of two more tributes for its adaptation of The Hunger Games.

Jack Quaid and Leven Rembin have signed on as Marvel and Glimmer.

They’re the District 1 tributes. Days ago, the roles of District 11 tributes, Thresh and Rue, were filled by newcomers Davo Okenivi and Amandla Stenberg.

The tributes join the main players: Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Liam Hemsworth as Gale and possibly Elizabeth Banks as Effie.

The Hunger Games Casts Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg

Two more roles in The Hunger Games have been filled.

Lionsgate has confirmed that the parts of Rue and Thresh of District 11 have officially been cast – Dayo Okeniyi will play strong and quiet District 11 tribute Thresh, while Amandla Stenberg will play Katniss Everdeen’s young ally Rue.

These two look the part(s), but as far as acting chops, they’re unproven. Doesn’t mean they won’t pass muster, of course. Everyone starts somewhere.

Winklevoss Twins Lose Facebook Settlement Appeal

Despite their claims that Facebook did not provide an accurate valuation, a judge ruled that Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss must accept their $65 million settlement from the social networking behemoth and move on. SUCKS for them.

A U.S. appeals court ruled that the settlement stands.

The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office is officially going after Lindsay Lohan for her assault on a Betty Form employee on December 12, 2010 and as is usually the case with Lohan court appearances, Lindsay doesn’t seem worried at all.

Mel Gibson to Plead No Contest to Battery, Avoid Jail Time in Oksana Grigorieva Case

Confirming earlier reports, Mel Gibson will in fact be charged with domestic violence, stemming from an alleged attack on Oksana Grigorieva in early 2010.

He will also plead no contest Friday and avoid jail time.

According to TMZ, Mel will appear in court and enter a plea on the charge of simple battery – a lesser charge than corporal injury on a spouse.

NO CONTEST: Mel will be convicted, but on a lesser charge.

Mel was emotionally torn over the impending criminal charge. He denies Oksana’s claims and believed he could win, but feared for his family.

Oksana’s Own Lawyer Suing Her Over $15 Million Settlement

Eric George, the lawyer who negotiated a $15 million settlement between Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson isn’t too pleased that she later disavowed the agreement and he is suing her for his cut of the settlement which he says should have been accepted.

According to George, he completed the settlement to the best of his abilities and because it was originally agreed upon Oksana owes him his share.

In arbitration documents George says his firm was promised 10% of the settlement, but none of the money that was set aside for child support.

A new report says prosecutors are ready to file criminal charges against Mel Gibson for hitting Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of his daughter Lucia.

The L.A. District Attorney granted Gibson’s lawyer, Blair Berk, a last-ditch meeting late Tuesday, as she sought to persuade authorities against it.

T.I.’s Wife Charged With Ecstasy Possession

Tameka Cottle, the wife of rapper T.I. has been charged by the L.A. County District Attorney with possession of the illegal drug Ecstasy.

T.I. and his wife were arrested on the Sunset Strip last month, however charges against T.I. were later dropped. If convicted his wife could face up to one year behind bars.

For T.I. his troubles are not over, he will spend some time in a Georgia jail for violating his probation due to the L.A. arrest.

Assault Charges Against Jodie Foster Dropped For Lack of Evidence

(HMG Celebrity News) – The case against Jodie Foster for allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old boy has officially been dropped, RadarOnline.com reports.

According to a police report, the incident happened May 29 when the boy tried to photograph Foster, who carefully guards her privacy, at The Grove outdoor mall, where the actress was seeing a film with her two young sons, Charles, 11, and eight-year-old Christopher.

The alleged victim’s father, who did not want to be named, said that Foster attacked his 17-year-old son in the shopping center’s car lot.
