Chris Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos is far from pleased with the L.A. County District Attorney’s allegation that the star lied about doing community service.
In his official response to the D.A.’s scathing motion, Geragos hits back hard, claiming that prosecutors omitted key facts and implying they are out to get Chris.
Brown is accused of falsifying reports, but Geragos refutes claims that “no human being ever witnessed” Chris performing the required community service.
On the contrary, Geragos claims the deputy police chief in Richmond, Va., personally “observed Brown workingMore >
Dr. Conrad Murray will no longer be taking the stand to testify in his own defense in the involuntary manslaughter trial stemming from Michael Jackson’s 2009 death.
This marks a reversal of his original plan to testify.
Murray told his lawyers from day one that he wants to testify and tell his side of the story, but his lead attorney, Ed Chernoff, believes it’s not worth the risk.
His reasoning is simple: Murray wouldn’t be able to withstand a tough cross examination that the DA would subject him to, and would hurt his own cause.
“Clients always want to testify, but in this case, the D.A.More >
Passionate Michael Jackson fans who wish to witness the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray have been told to get their asses in gear or be banned for good after an incident yesterday in which a number of MJ supporters acted out.
Fans were “staring down Murray and giving him dirty looks,” reports say.
These weren’t furtive glances, either. Spectators were staring so intensely at Dr. Murray it prompted the deputy to remove all spectators from the room.
Despite this distraction, Judge Michael Pastor has not issued any bans on public viewing of the trial … yet. He has warned fans to shape up or getMore >
Sorry, Salahis, but we stopped believing a long time ago.
A couple hours after Tareq Salahi released a public statement and asked for help in tracking down his supposedly kidnapped wife, Michaele Salahi’s whereabouts have been discovered: she’s in Memphis with Journey guitarist Neal Schon.
Michaele used to date the artist and is rumored to be having an affair with him now. She attended his band’s concert in Nashville last night. Said a police department spokesperson who chatted on the phone with the former Real Housewife of D.C.:
“She seemed calm, was engaged in conversation, and assuredMore >
Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer is expected to enter a no-contest plea on her behalf this week to a misdemeanor theft charge, but will the star actually end up in jail?
The answer to that likely hinges on probation officials’ recommendations.
Probation officers will prepare a sentencing report recommending that Lohan either serve time in a county jail or serve the sentence under home confinement.
There, she would be reunited with her old friend the ankle monitor.
A judge has the power to order no electronic monitoring, but the reality is that either way, she’ll likely serve far less than the 120More >
Here she goes again. Poor, innocent Lindsay Lohan feels she is the victim of a witch hunt by D.A. Danette Myers and wants the prosecutor off her case.
Will she get her wish?
The Deputy D.A., who is running for L.A. County District Attorney, actually asked the judge for the same thing last week, but Meyers was denied.
Sources in contact with Lindsay say the star, who was just sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating probation, believes she’s being exploited.
Lohan feels she’s become a living, breathing press release for Meyers, but this is probably just another case of her whining andMore >
[HMG Celebrity News] – After the atonal fiasco at last month’s Super Bowl you’d be forgiven for thinking life for Christina Aguilera couldn’t get any worse. You’d be misinformed. Today the 30-year old singer was arrested in a DUI case.
Sources close to the LAPD say Aguilera was a passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler. Officers noticed the car weaving all over the road in West Hollywood at around 2.45am this morning and did a traffic stop.
“The driver was determined to be driving while under the influence of alcohol and arrested,” says the statement released by Sheriff’sMore >
As expected and as reported earlier, Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers made a plea bargain offer to Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer in chambers this morning.
That offer was six month in jail. Lindsay passed.
Judge Keith Schwartz said in court that he had a feeling her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley would pass on the D.A.’s offer. He was correct.

Giacinto “Gino” Paoletti is Bristol Palin’s new boyfriend.
Not only that, but Gino, a former high school classmate, is the ex of Levi Johnston’s sister, Mercede Johnston! Hey, it’s Alaska. Not a lot of options around.
“She may have everyone else fooled, but Bristol gets around,” Mercede told Star in an exclusive interview, totes outing Palin’s mysterious new boyfriend.
This is Bristol’s new BF Gino Paoletti. That’s her ex-fiance’s sister. Crazy!
“They would hook up, but they never officially dated until now,” Mercede Johnston explains of her nephew’s mom, with whom she’s apparently notMore >
Mel Gibson’s legal team will make the claim that his estranged ex, Oksana Grigorieva, tried to bribe a witness in their ongoing legal battle, reports say.
The witness is relevant in both the ongoing criminal and family cases.
It is not yet known who it is, or what the evidence is to support the bribery allegation, but “Mel claims there was a financial incentive,” a source said.
A source close to the situation says one of Mel’s lawyers will be meeting with Deputy District Attorney John Lynch to present evidence of the alleged bribe.
Mel denies beating her, as she alleges, but admits in anMore >
Lindsay Lohan loves making excuses, playing the victim and claiming everyone is out to get her. Incredibly, in this case, she may actually have an argument.
The Palm Desert Police Department was dead set on sticking it to her, reports say, after her altercation with Betty Ford Center staff member Dawn Holland.
Desperate to finger Lohan for something to get her arrested, police contacted the L.A. County probation office shortly after Lindsay and Dawn threw down.
Lindsay has been, and remains on probation for a 2007 DUI conviction. Failure to adhere to the terms of said probation haveMore >
Randy and Evi Quaid were arrested this week in Vancouver, Canada after a U.S. judge set a $1 million bail on the border-crossing couple. The Quaid’s were arrested in Vancouver on Wednesday after they skipped their most recent California court hearing.
Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter told E! News:
“We can confirm that we received word that they were detained in British Columbia,” adding “Upon hearing the news from Canada, the court raised their bail to $500,000 each.”

Future welfare recipient Nadya Suleman, better known as Octomom, has been caught in a series of lies pertaining to her octuplets’ birth following an investigation.
A fertility doctor implanted her with 12 embryos in the pregnancy that spawned her octuplets, conflicting with her claims that only six were implanted and two split.
Also, she’s said in the past that she has no embryos remaining. She has 29 of them left. Dr. Michael Kamrava may lose his license as a result.
14 DOWN, 29 TO GO: Fight breedism, indeed.
Implanting Octomom with that many embryos endangered her life and violatedMore >
Actor Randy Quaid and his bat$h!t insane wife Evi once again face arrest warrants after failing to show up for a Santa Barbara, Calif., court hearing yesterday.
The allegations against them? That they were crashing in a guest house of a Montecito home they once owned. Just staying there. Seriously, this happened.
A real estate agent found them out. Hilarious.
Randy and Evi Quaid: Not sane. Or unfunny.
Santa Barbara Senior Deputy D.A. Lee Carter says $50,000 warrants were issued after the duo failed to appear for arraignment on residential burglary charges.
