Steven Tyler Denies Racist Charge, Apologizes to Nicki Minaj

In a new interview with Canadian talk show eChat, Steven Tyler calmly addresses the charges of racism leveled at him this week by Nicki Minaj.

The latter artist went off on Twitter this week after Tyler randomly said the American Idol Season 12 judging team would send Bob Dylan home if he were to audition in front of them.

Minaj took major exception to the comment, chalking it up to bitterness on the part of Tyler.

“I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki…  I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist,” Tyler says in the following video.

Crazy Christian Blames American Idol Ratings on Ellen’s Sexuality

American Idol experienced a decrease in ratings this season. New judge Ellen DeGeneres is a lesbian.

Clearly, says Gary McCullough, the director of the Christian Newswire, these two facts are related. In a press release today, he wrote:

I am confident that the producers of American Idol will… find a dozen other reasons for the drop in ratings. After all, what successful television producer could have a clue what wholesomeness is as long as they see promoting homosexuality as a virtue.

If one of the judges was an abortion activist, or a political right winger and continued to insert

Some people — including fellow contestants on DWTS Season 10 — are now suggesting that while Nicole IS incredibly talented, she shouldn’t have won let alone been on the show. Why not? Because she’s actually a dancer on the Pussycat Dolls, the

She’ll serve as producer and lead judge on Got to Dance, a CBS competition that premieres in early 2010. According to a press release, the series will cover everything from “ballroom to break dance, bhangra to ballet, and tap to
