You’ve done it now, Democrats. You’ve made Rush Limbaugh officially “ashamed” to be an American.
That’s how the conservative radio host described himself yesterday when ranting about the budget sequestration, an issue President Obama says could cripple the economy if Congress can’t strike a deal before next month.
Limbaugh believes that argument from Obama – who said yesterday that love of rich people binds the GOP together – is an “insult” to his “common sense and intelligence.”Rush Limbaugh: Ashamed of His Country

George Will of ABC News says the opposition to gay marriage in the United States is slowly but quite literally dying; it’s primarily older residents, he told This Week.
As the Supreme Court prepares to take up two landmark cases on same-sex marriage, Will said yesterday that it’s clear where public opinion is headed.George Will on Gay Marriage
“There is something like an emerging consensus,” the conservative writer said, noting voters in three states recently endorsed same-sex marriage initiatives.

Well, you have one person on your side, Donald Trump.
But it’s someone the world may hate even more than you these days.
Ann Coulter – who is facing criticism from all sides for referring to Barack Obama as a retard – appeared on Hannity last night and was asked about The Donald’s pledge to give $5 million to charity in exchange for the President’s full college transcripts.
“I love it,” the conservative commentator said. “[Republicans] need somebody like Donald Trump on our side.”

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney made a joke about his birth certificate – and took a subtle shot at his opponent in doing so – at a rally Friday.
Speaking about his roots in Michigan, where has father was governor, he told a Commerce, Mich., crowd, “No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate.”
“They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.”
It was awkward, if nothing else, for Romney to joke about “birther” conspiracies that dogged President Barack Obama since his 2008 White House run.

There are television shows about families with 19 kids. And television shows about teenage mothers. There’s even one that features strange addictions such as eating laundry detergent.
Yet One Million Moms – a conservative group that went after JC Penney after it hired Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson – believes an upcoming NBC sitcom titled The New Normal is “attempting to desensitize America and our children” because it centers on a gay couple and a surrogate.
The series stars Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells as partner looking to adopt. That’s the entireMore >
Many conservatives are furious over Newsweek‘s controversy-bait cover story by Andrew Sullivan, whose headline asks, “Why Are Obama’s Critics So Dumb?”
Sarah Palin is taking it particularly personally, though.
“Know what’s truly ‘dumb’?” Palin Tweeted. “Giving a cover story to the Trig Truther conspiracy kook writer who thinks I didn’t give birth to my son.”
In a play on the “Birther” conspiracy surrounding Obama’s birth certificate, Palin is calling out Sullivan for questioning whether she is Trig’s real mother.

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making a serious TV ad play in the first two primary states, hoping to secure back to back wins and cruise to the nomination.
But can he convince Republican voters he’s conservative enough?
He won’t fail for lack of trying. The Romney campaign’s newest Iowa ad is even called “Conservative Agenda” and vows to make government “simpler, smaller and smarter.”
Touting his experience, Romney says he will “get rid of Obamacare” and says that “it is a moral imperative for America to stop spending more money than we take in.”

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann was “glittered” by a gay rights activist as she left the stage at a conservative conference in Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday.
Get Equal, a California gay rights group, did the honors, citing Bachmann’s support for a same-sex marriage ban and her “history of anti-gay rhetoric.”
“You can run, but you cannot hide! Keep your hate out of our Constitution!” shouted Rachel E. B. Lang, who threw glitter at the GOP presidential candidate.
Lang actually did a lackluster job with the glitter (which is really more like confetti), largely missing Bachmann before securityMore >
Anthony Weiner has deemed a new Twitter-based scandal as nothing but a “prank,” but the six-term New York Congressman has still hired a lawyer to defend himself against charges of sending a lewd photo to a 21-year old.
On Friday, the 40,000 people who follow Weiner were exposed to a photo of what appeared to be a man’s crotch. (View the picture HERE.) The image was immediately deleted, before Gennette Nicole Cordova of Seattle could even view it.
Weiner says a hacker broke into his account and joked: “Touche Prof Moriarity. More Weiner Jokes for all my guests! #Hacked!”

[HMG Celebrity News] – With Elizabeth Taylor now at rest in Forest Lawn, saved from the repulsive plot we outlined yesterday, those who met her are keen to remember. Among them is Kevin Sessums, whose 1997 interview with Liz gave him hours of memories.
“I love trusting. I get hurt very easily,” Elizabeth told him. “I’m tough when I have to be, but I can spin on a dime. I’ve led a very strange life.”
Kevin then asked if that life had been mostly in film?;
“Honey, you can see through celluloid and it’s brittle,” Liz counseled. “Neither of those things would describe me.”

Is Barack Obama a Communist? Former SNL cast member and current Tea Party activist Victoria Jackson sure thinks so, as evidenced by a little song she wrote.
It’s hard to believe this isn’t an SNL sketch, but Jackson, who co-starred with Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Dennis Miller & Co. in the ’80s and ’90s, is quite serious.
A Tea Party member priding herself on being a Hollywood conservative, she penned “There’s a Communist Living in the White House” last year. Here it is:

(HMG Celebrity News) – The History Channel has dropped The Kennedys, which was set to air in the spring, and will no longer carry the 8-part miniseries in the US. The miniseries starring Greg Kinnear (as JFK), Katie Holmes (as Jacqueline Kennedy), Barry Pepper (as Bobby Kennedy), and Tom Wilkinson (as Joseph Kennedy), cost the network millions of dollars to produce and it took months to shoot, with many rewrites, but they ultimately decided that the series took too many liberties with the facts. “The Kennedys,” was supposed to be the History channels first major move into scriptedMore >
(HMG Celebrity News)—Talk-show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger, is taking her ‘sorry act’ to Sirius XM Radio in early January, according to various news reports. After taking heat for a despicable on-air racist rant, in which she spewed the N-word multiple times while bullying a black female caller for having a “chip on her shoulder and being “hypersensitive” about race, Dr. Laura announced she was leaving her syndicated radio show at the end of the year. After receiving criticism, because she “articulated the “n” word all the way out,” as she described it in a later apology, she whined toMore >
(HMG) – With President Obama’s recent appearance on “The View” drawing 6.5 million viewers, Barbara Walters is making plans for a spinoff of her popular all-female daytime talkshow. Walters and Bill Geddie, who created the hit ABC women’s talk show and serve as its executive producers, are quietly developing a “unisex” spinoff to “The View” that will attempt to inject a male perspective into the topics of the day, according to NY Daily News sources.

Kathy Griffin and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are definitely not Facebook friends.
The comedian and the talk show host are at odds this week, following a joke Griffin made on her Bravo series, My Life on the D-List. Speaking to a pair of CNN reporters, Griffin referred to Scott Brown’s kids as “prostitutes.” Watch the segment NOW.
The Massachusetts Senator stood up for his kids, saying: “People can call me any name they want, but families are off limits… Kathy Griffin and Bravo ought to be ashamed of themselves.”
