[HMG] – There are many ways to achieve notoriety, but Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater is probably regretting the option he chose.

Steven, 39, was on on a flight from Pittsburgh to New York that was landing at JFK airport when a passenger began removing their bag from the overhead bins. Summoning 28-years of training Steven diplomatically told the woman to return to her seat, and that’s when things went awry.

“He just asked the woman to close the overhead bin and sit down,” says Steven’s mom, Diane.
