British actor Henry Cavill chosen for Superman reboot

(HMG Celebrity News) – After many false rumors, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced on Sunday that British actor Henry Cavill has been chosen for the coveted Clark Kent/Superman role in this much anticipated reboot.   The 27-year-old, known for his portrayal of Charles Brandon on Showtime’s The Tudors, will star in the tentatively titled film Man of Steel, due out in theaters in December of 2012. Sam Jones III Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges, May Face 20 Years in Jail

Not even Superman could get out of this. Hello? Is this thing on?

Sam Jones III, who played Clark Kent’s pal Pete Ross on Smallville from 2001-2008, pleaded guilty to conspiring to sell the painkiller oxycodone yesterday.

The “hillbilly heroin” dealer now faces up to 20 years in jail.

Jones was arrested at his Canoga Park, Calif., home in 2009 by the DEA.

According to the U.S. Attorneys Office, he pleaded guilty to serving as the “Hollywood connection” in a conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 pills.

Most recently, Jones had a regular role as Craig Shilo in the series Blue Mountain State.

David E. Kelley to write new Wonder Woman TV series

(Celebrity News HMG) – Amazon warrior Wonder Woman is the latest super hero getting a resurrection. “The Practice,” “Boston Legal” and “Ally McBeal” creator David E. Kelley has secured a deal with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment to bring the princess to the small screen as writer and producer. Smallville TV Series Ending After Next Season

Smallville, the story of a high-school to college-age Clark Kent, aka Superman, will be ending after the upcoming 10th season. Considering it was being said in Season 7 that the 8th would be the last, the show has had a pretty good run. I still miss Clark’s friend Pete, and have never understand why they got rid of the character. Don’t the producers (writers?) know it’s Kryptonite, not African Americans, that make for Superman’s Achilles Heel?
