Westboro Baptist Church Blames Oklahoma Tornado on Jason Collins, Kevin Durant

The Westboro Baptist Church is drawing a link between Monday’s devastating Oklahoma tornado and NBA star Kevin Durant’s support for Jason Collins.
After Collins came out as gay in SI this spring, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Durant was one of many players to praise his courage and offer support.
According to the WBC, OKC is now paying the price.
Fred Phelps Jr., the son of Westboro Baptist Church minister Fred Phelps and the brother of Shirley Phelps-Roper, tweeted the following messages:

Tim Tebow is now stirring up debate of a different kind.
The signal caller and devout Christian is scheduled to speak at First Baptist Dallas on April 28, a giant establishment in Texas whose pastor – Robert Jeffress – has received a lot of attention for anti-gay and anti-Semitic comments.
In October 2011, Jeffress said Islam and Mormonism are heretical religions “from the pit of hell,” and added that “you can’t be saved being a Jew.”

Creflo Dollar, the Megachurch pastor and televangelist who has faced criticism over the years for his flamboyant lifestyle, was arrested today after allegedly injuring his 15-year old daughter in a fight.
Authorities from the Fayette County Sheriff’s department responded to a call of domestic violence at approximately 1 a.m., according to investigator Brent Rowan, who added that the religious man and his daughter were arguing over whether the latter could go to a party when Dollar “got physical” with her, resulting in “superficial injuries” on the teenager.

Last night on The Voice, Christina Aguilera offered some less-than-glowing words for the falsetto-singing Tony Lucca, one of Adam Levine’s proteges.
After a rendition of “In Your Eyes,” Christina called him “one-dimensional,” said she thinks there are better voices on the show, and hopes The Voice doesn’t become about “celebrity sway” that keeps fan favorites like Tony in the competition.
