[HMG Celebrity News] – The trailer for ‘Thor’ which aired during the Super Bowl left most comic-book connoisseurs unimpressed. But this new remix perhaps will light a fire. Chris Hemsworth ably brings Thor to life, but most of the talk is about Natalie Portman.
For those who are not yet addicted, the film tells the story of a mighty warrior [Thor] whose life among the gods ends when he restarts a war. For this he is banished from the realm of Asgard and must live among mortals. But once on Earth he redeems himself by defending its people against Asgard’s darkest villain.

(HMG Celebrity News) – Actor Chris Hemsworth, 27, who is the lead in the new Marvel Thor movie got married over the holidays to Spanish actress Pataky, 34, who made a splash in the 2006 camp classic Snakes on a Plane. A source close the couple tells UsMagazine.com that the wedding took place in Hemsworth’s native Australia. It was a surprise to many because while they have dated for a longtime, they never announced they were engaged. It was a very pleasant Christmas for Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky.
The star and the Spanish actress tied the knot at some point over the holiday weekend in Australia. No further details have been released.
Hemsworth will anchor the big screen version of Thor this summer, a blockbuster whose trailer you can watch HERE.

Thor’s Idris Elba the focus of bigoted boycott

[HMG Celebrity News] – Films have inspired people to do many odd things, but a white supremacist group is now demanding a boycott of the new movie, ‘Thor’ because one actor’s the wrong color for the part.
The loose assemblage of wannabe rocket scientists behind this petition call themselves the ‘Council of Conservative Citizens’ and have called for a boycott of Marvel’s film adaptation because the producers chose to cast British actor Idris Elba as the Norse god Heimdall, whom the Council says was white in the comics.
And Idris is currently black.

It will have a certain beloved Captain with which to compete, but Thor hopes to be the biggest blockbuster of 2011.
Based on the Marvel Comics character, this movie will hit theaters on May 6 and star Chris Hemsworth in the title role.

It’s official, Thor has a full length 5 minute trailer that’s quite simply put…Awesome!
The trailer debuted at SDCC this year and ever since Comic-Con fans have went into a tizzy and the trailer has been circling the web at viral rates.
The movie stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Thor’s father.
Watch the video below before it gets pulled by the studio for copyright infringement.
