Stephen Ira, Transgendered Son of Warren Beatty, Calls Chaz Bono "Misogynist"

Chaz Bono’s media appearances and stint on Dancing with the Stars won over many people this fall. The transgendered son of Warren Beatty is not one of them, though.

Stephen Ira, who was born a girl named Kathlyn, is 19, and is the child of Beatty and Annette Bening. He writes a blog titled Super Mattachine. Why’s he mad at Chaz?

Because Bono told the New York Times that being transgendered is essentially having a “mismatched” brain and body, akin to a “birth defect like a cleft palate.”

“I do not have a birth defect. If you feel you have a birth defect, fine. That’s how you feel. Go feel

Chaz Bono to Die Young From Gender Reassignment, Tabloid Claims; DWTS Star Threatens Lawsuit

Will Chaz Bono die young because he became a man?

That’s the implication of a story in the National Enquirer. One that has him threatening to sue, claiming the article is a “smear campaign” and “blatantly false.”

The “story” is plastered right on cover of the November 11 issue with a headline that screams, “Chaz Bono: ONLY 4 YEARS TO LIVE.” Pretty overt, and awful.

The article cites “expert” opinions about Chaz’s weight, stress and medication linked with gender reassignment, concluding he’ll likely kick it by 2015.

The Dancing With the Stars cast member, understandably, is royally pissed,

Chaz Bono: Not Bitter at Dancing With the Stars!

Chaz Bono did not leave Dancing With the Stars on the best of terms.

He and partner Lacey Schwimmer were fired up after their performance this week, with the usually reserved duo saying the judges’ comments were “disrespectful.”

They weren’t complaining about the scoring that left them in last, but in particular to the way Bruno Tonioli compared Bono to a cute, fluffy penguin in his critique.

But after Chaz Bono’s elimination became official, he gave a really nice farewell speech, and it seemed he and Schwimmer had put any hard feelings behind them.

“I was quite angry,” Bono, 42, said.

Chaz Bono on Dancing With the Stars: The End of the Journey?

Monday’s Dancing With the Stars performances captured a critical year in the life of each participant. For J.R. Martinez, that year was 2003, when he was wounded in Iraq.

For Chaz Bono, the most defining year has been this one.

Bono said ’11 has been his most meaningful because “I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” then danced a rumba to a song that his father wrote, “Laugh at Me.” Its message: “If you have a problem with me, then it’s your problem, not mine.”

Chaz Bono Posts Lowest Score on Dancing With the Stars; Is Tonight the End of the Road?

Chaz Bono battled gamely through the pain of inflamed knees last night on Dancing With the Stars, but couldn’t top his previous week’s score of 17.

Whereas last week, that was good enough to best some others, it was at the bottom of the heap last night, casting serious doubt on his hopes tonight.

“My knees just hurt so much,” Chaz Bono said Monday. The judges praised his attitude, but said his quickstep was simply too slow and not up to par.

Here’s the performance that left him in jeopardy, well behind Ricki Lake and every other contestant who took to the parquet floor last night …

Dancing With the Stars Premiere Countdown: Security on High Alert For Chaz Bono Haters

Dancing With the Stars is set to kick off its 13th season in a matter of hours, and ABC is on high alert for “crazies” who have a thing against Chaz Bono.

Given the surprising backlash against the transgendered star’s casting, network execs and producers are taking no chances for Monday night’s premiere.

There have not been any credible, specific threats against Chaz Bono, TMZ reports, but the unprecedented level of hatred and controversy he’s generated are no joke.

Until further notice, Chaz will be given extra security while he’s on the CBS Television City lot, where the show is filmed,

American Psychiatric Association: Watching Chaz Bono on Dancing With the Stars is OK!

Dr. Keith Ablow recently suggested that watching Chaz Bono on Dancing With the Stars could “confuse” American youth and make them consider a sex change.

Not the case, a major industry group says.

The American Psychiatric Association says Ablow’s assertion that seeing Chaz on DWTS will cause a spike in Gender Identity Disorder (GID) is unfounded.

John M. Oldham acknowledges that GID is a psychiatric disorder but told TMZ that as far as watching Chaz do the samba is concerned, there’s no connection.

“There is no evidence that viewing a television game show with a transgender contestant

Cher to Perform on Dancing With the Stars?

Will Cher perform on Dancing With the Stars this season? That’s unclear, but she’s made it clear she will be there at least once to support son Chaz Bono.

Sources connected with Cher and Chaz say the criticism over a transgender contestant has given the star even more resolve to stand behind her child.

Cher is not saying which day she’ll show, or if she will sing on one of the results show, but has made it clear she will be in the audience “at least once.”

Insiders say Cher’s motive is not to drive votes for her son but simply to show support and make a statement against what she
