Nearly 14 years after starring in the sci-flick Contact as a scientist/astronomer working for SETI (The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute), Jodie Foster might be closer to aliens than we all thought.
Foster is among thousands who raised $200,000 to re-open the Allen Telescope Array (ATA), which are 42 radio dishes at the Hat Creek Radio Observatory ( 290 miles northeast of San Francisco, California). The telescopes search space for potential extraterrestrial life and SETI operates them telescopes 24 hours per day.

The 32-year old actress, who found fame as Joey Potter in Dawson’s Creek has signed to join Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy on the show’s judging panel, and ‘High School Musical’ choreographer Kenny Ortega will make a guest appearance.

Michael Kors, exalted designer and one of the founding creative forces on Project Runway has confirmed he and long-time partner, Lance LePere are planning to a wedding now same-sex marriage is legal in their home state of New York.
“Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry after many years together,” the 51-year old Long Island native has said in a statement. “We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately.”
The pair first met in 1990 when Lance secured a job as an intern in the Paris office of Mr. Kors’ design firm.
