A THG favorite celebrates a milestone birthday today.
Yes, folks, former American Idol winner and current win-pretty-much-every-awards-on-the-planet superstar Carrie Underwood is now 30 years old!
The gorgeous singer is as talented and respected as anyone in the business, despite a recently rumored feud with Taylor Swift.
She’s married to a hockey player, she blows us away with every live performance and she isn’t going anywhere for a very long time. Thank goodness!

Adam Levine and Alicia Keys performed “Girl on Fire” Sunday at the Grammys, with the Maroon 5 frontman stepping in for Nicki Minaj on music’s biggest night.
Decked out in slick black slacks and black shirt, Levine took the stage with his band to perform “Daylight” before Alicia Keys joined them and the duo.
Alicia killed it on the drums. After a verse of “Girl,” they brought it back around with “Daylight,” then ended things with some more “Fire.” And it rocked:Adam Levine & Alicia Keys Grammy Performance 2013

The early American Idol auditions have finally come to an end. With Steven Tyler in drag.
Yeah. It’s nice to be moving on to Hollywood.
But before we pick up and head to California, let’s take a look at the best acts we’ve seen so far, shall we? Might one of the following be our next American Idol?
Brunell Taylor, who was relocated due to Katrina and Charlie Askew, both of whom tried out in Louisiana:
Ja’Bria Barber, a wonder at 16; and Ashley Smith, who made Carrie Underwood proud with “CowboyMore >
Brad Paisley is nothing if not locked in to pop culture.
The country superstar went Gangnam Style with Carrie Underwood earlier this year, and now he’s debuted a theme song for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Referring to seven-year old Alana Thompson as an “American hero” and a “garden gnome,” watch the following video now to see Paisley wax poetic about how Honey Boo Boo is “filled with balls of cheese and go go juice.”Brad Paisley – “The Ballad of Honey Boo Boo”

Move over, Justin Bieber. And make room for… Psy?!?
Indeed. Although he was an unknown in the United States just a few months ago, this Korean sensation and his addictive single have pushed Bieber aside and achieved an impressive honor:

The music video has now been viewed about 803,761,000 time since it was posted in July. The previous record-holder, Bieber’s “Baby” music video, has racked up 803,732,000 since its February 2010 release.

Miranda Lambert was moved to tears last night.
The superstar accepted the trophy for Song of the Year alongside husband Blake Shelton at the Country Music Awards, and couldn’t contain her emotion when The Voice judge told his wife in front of the world:

And when asked when he would be returning to the Fox competition, Tyler scoffed and made it clear: NEVER.

With the search for new American Idol judges on, Kelly Clarkson knows exactly who should get the gig.
“Didn’t she major in journalism or something?” Clarkson said to Us Weekly of her fellow former winner. “And she can have that face… that bluff face! She can put that on! She would be good.”
She’d be terrific. Underwood has the resume, and the charm and the personality, as evidenced by her CMA Awards hosting gigs.
But she also has the mammoth success and we can’t see her needing to take the job for any sort of career bump.
Still, it’s an intriguing idea, isn’t it? WouldMore >
With this much cash money flowing in, it’s amazing the Jersey Shore cast still does its own laundry to go with all that hardcore gym and tanning action.
The roving gang of hooligans from Seaside Heights, N.J., were angling for an $10,000 a season not so long ago. Nowadays? Chump change.
The Situation, Pauly D and Snooki are each taking home $150,000 per EPISODE, according to a new report … or $1.8 million per season. Man.

Adam Lambert has made history.
The former American Idol runner-up shot past another famous series alumnus this week and claimed the number-one spot on the Billboard 200 for his latest album, “Trespassing.” In doing so, Lambert became the first openly gay man to sit atop the chart.
Yes, Clay Aiken achieved the same status with his 2003 CD, but he did not come out of the closet until five years later.
Of course, the important thing is not Lambert’s sexuality; it’s his success. The eccentric crooner sold 77,000 units of “Trespassing” in the seven days since its release. Well done,More >
Katy Perry is never one to hold anything back.
The singer performed her new song “Wide Awake” at the Billboard Music Awards last night, a song written for her upcoming 3D documentary movie and which appears to specifically address her recent divorce from comedian Russell Brand.
