Breaking Dawn Kills Brad Pitt, Rules Box Office Once Again

Not even Brad Pitt can slow down The Twilight Saga. At least not when he’s starring in an awful, awful movie.
Indeed, Breaking Dawn Part 2 reigned supreme at the box office for the third consecutive weekend, raking in $17.4 million and lifting its domestic total to $254.6 million.
That’s nearly $10 million more than the first Breaking Dawn installment had garnered at this stage in its run, while the conclusion to the franchise is on pace for a record $800 million around the globe.
Pitt, meanwhile, flopped tremendously with Killing Me Softly, which took in a mere $7 million,

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Hauls in $30 Million Overnight

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is off and running.
The final installment of The Twilight Saga grossed $30.4 million combined at Thursday night and midnight showings this morning. Impressive? Yes.
A record? Not quite.
Last year’s Breaking Dawn Part 1 garnered a franchise-high $30.3 million solely from midnight screenings from around the nation, for example.
And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 took in $43.5 million from that same time slot alone.

This has suddenly become more awkward than exciting.
The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly features Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in an embrace. No, they haven’t made up. They are simply in character as Edward and Bella in Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Pattinson tells the magazine that this installment of The Twilight Saga is “stranger than all the other films put together,” a comment that takes on new meaning in light of Stewart’s cheating scandal.

But Taylor Lautner says this installment of the Twilight Saga highlights an especially interesting journey for his character of Jacob Black, telling our friends at Movie Fanatic that it was the most “challenging” film of the franchise to shoot.
“Jacob becomes a man in this one and he has to make a lot decisions,” Lautner told Joel Amos. “He’s being torn between his two families. It was really tough.”

After flipping out in an enthusiastically eerie fashion for the Eclipse trailer last March, a certain fan of The Twilight Saga is back again, crying the world a river like it was her own kin getting married or having a half-human, half-vampire baby.
It’s really very sad, frightening stuff – and it raises a question. Who is scarier: the fan seen in the video here, or this woman?
