We somehow doubt Ted Nugent will be buying a copy, but Piers Morgan announced today that he is penning a tell-all that will be released in October.
The memoir will reportedly be titled “Shooting Straight: Guns, Gays, God, and George Clooney” and will focus on his life as host at CNN.
Most recently, that life has centered on Morgan debating the issue of gun control with such conservatives as Nugent, Alex Jones, most memorably, Larry Pratt.
According to a Simon & Schuster’s press release, the book will cover Morgan’s “adrenaline-fueled life at CNN as host of ‘Piers Morgan Live’More >
The gun control debate is on, and it is more heated than ever.
In the aftermath of the Connecticut school shooting, CNN’s Piers Morgan absolutely went OFF on guns and gun rights advocates on his program Friday.
Wherever you stand on the issue, this is a must-watch:Piers Morgan Gun Control Rant
The conversation got heated when Morgan asked “why on Earth” anyone would advocate for more guns, given the unspeakable carnage at Sandy Hook.
“If we could suddenly make all guns disappear, I’d have a different position,” replied Steve Dulan of the Michigan Coalition of Responsible GunMore >

Jennifer Hudson is bringing her incredible pipes and her impressive acting ability to Smash.
The Oscar-winning former American Idol favorite has signed on for her first extended television role, multiple sources confirm, coming on board Smash Season 2 as Veronica, a veteran Broadway star who will cause problems for Megan Hilty’s Ivy and Katharine McPhee’s Karen.
Smash got off to a big start for NBC and then faltered tremendously, both in the ratings and in the eyes of critics.
It has since replaced its showrunner, let three main cast members go and, along with Hudson, signed Jeremy JordanMore >
Ian Somerhalder is one of several stars talked about as a potentially great fit for Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
He’s leading THG’s poll on the subject (below), as a matter of fact.
Asked about it on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Monday, The Vampire Diaries heart throb admitted he’s heard the speculation about his casting, and approves.
Asked if he’s interested in starring in the film, Ian said: “Potentially. I absolutely would be up for that. I have the book and I just started readingMore >
Fans around the country enjoyed a very happy opening day of The Hunger Games yesterday.
In its first 24 hours of release, the very well-received Jennifer Lawrence blockbuster earned $68.3 million, taking fifth place on the all-time single day revenue chart. It actually ranks first, however, for all non-sequels.
What grade would you give The Hunger Games?
In fact, The Hunger Games is the only non-sequel to occupy a spot in the top 10 opening days in history, as you can see below:
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, $91.1 million
- The Twilight Saga: New Moon, $72.7 million
Jessica Alba is one of those mamas that go beyond hot. While I have never been particularly into her, her steel underneath sultry looks stand out. The actress, who also doubles as a wife and mom, has branched out into other endeavors. Recently, she launched her own business called The Honest Company. The idea is not new – there is a host of other companies in the same niche – but it seems to be a passion for Alba.
The Honest Company aims to deliver family products that are natural and safe. At the same time, it offers personalized service. It works by asking some questions of the consumerMore >
Taylor Swift + Katniss Everdeen = Utter awesomeness.
Granted, the singer doesn’t actually interact with the District 12 resident in the following video – which is for “Safe and Sound,” the single by Swift and The Civil Wars that will be included on The Hunger Games soundtrack – but still. That notion makes us smile.
Below, watch as Taylor wanders around the forest alone, barefoot and ragged, never actually meeting with The Civil Wars (who opened for her at the 2012 Grammys), but eventually picking up the iconic Mockingjay pin from the books and perfectly honoring the story we all know andMore >

J.P. Rosenbaum certainly gave Ashley Hebert – and TV audiences across the country – a happy ending last night when he nervously popped the question.
The 26-year-old dental student from Philadelphia accepted J.P.’s marriage proposal immediately. From a man she calls “my rock,” was there ever a doubt?
“We complement each other so well,” Hebert said today on Good Morning America, the couple’s first, live TV appearance together as an engaged couple.
Ashley on JP: “He’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.”

Two months ago, Entertainment Weekly gave readers their first look at Jennifer Lawrence in the main Hunger Games role of Katniss Everdeen.
Now, the magazine had done the same for Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, who will portray the two young man both pining for Katniss in the big screen version of this best-selling novel, Peeta and Gale, respectively.
Hemsworth, of course, is mostly known for dating Miley Cyrus. But director Gary Ross stands up for the Australian actor in an interview with the magazine and says:

Piers Morgan wears many hats: talk show host, America’s Got Talent judge, former Daily Mirror editor. But one thing the British celebrity swears he is not? A phone hacker.
Morgan was forced to defend himself today after Louise Mensch – a Conservative member of Parliament on the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, who grilled Rupert Murdoch during that News Corp. chief’s hearing in London – accused bragging about his own history of breaking into voicemails.
Said Mensch: “[Morgan] said in his book ‘The Insider’ recently, and I quote, that that little trick of entering a standardMore >
Forget being a Twihard. The woman below is a TwiREALLYREALLYREALLYhard.
After flipping out in an enthusiastically eerie fashion for the Eclipse trailer last March, a certain fan of The Twilight Saga is back again, crying the world a river like it was her own kin getting married or having a half-human, half-vampire baby.
It’s really very sad, frightening stuff – and it raises a question. Who is scarier: the fan seen in the video here, or this woman?
