Dr. Joyce Brothers, a popular psychologist who was also known as an author and general media personality, passed away today. She was 85 years old.
Publicist Sanford Brokaw broke the said news, confirming that his client died in New York City after a long battle with an unidentified illness.
Brothers rose to fame after winning The $64,000 Question in 1955.
She went on to a wildly successful broadcast career that included hosting a syndicated talk show where she gave advice to listeners.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Season 2 to Premiere On…

She’s coming back, folks.
A day after June Shannon married Sugar Bear, the family was given another reason to celebrate, as TLC announced a return date for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
New episodes will kick off on July 17.
The network teases that this eerily popular family will participate in “butter rolling, tap dancing lessons and wrestling events” on the new season, which will also take us behind the scenes of Mama June and Sugar Bear’s wedding.
The series premiered last August as a spin-off of Toddlers & Tiaras and averaged 2.3 millions viewers. Per week. For real.

In fact, it destroyed the weekend.
In double fact, it made more in three days than all the movies in theaters have made in any single weekend so far this year.
In triple fact, it scored the second highest opening weekend ever!

Wesley Snipes Released From Prison

Wesley Snipes has officially been released from prison.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirms he was let out April 2 and transferred to the N.Y. Community Corrections Office, which will oversee his house arrest.
On July 19, the troubled actor will truly be a free man.
If you recall, Snipes was sent to McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania after he was convicted for failing to file federal income tax returns.
Tax evasion. It’s not sexy as crimes go, but it’s got teeth.
Dude has been in there since December 2010!

Lululemon announced this week that Sheree Waterson, its top product executive, is stepping down after last month’s see-through yoga pants fiasco.
Waterson’s exit comes quickly on the heels of the Canadian company’s large recall of Lululemon’s popular black yoga pants, due to their sheerness.
A subsequent bending-over test made PR matters even worse.
The pants were recalled because they were unintentionally see-through – 17 percent of all women’s yoga pants had the defect – and created a shortfall.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Regina King have called it quits, apparently.
The couple dated for two years, it wasn’t the most amicable of breakups.
“He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore,” a source adds, explaining that Warner asked King and her young son (with ex-husband Ian Alexander Jr.) to move out.
The SouthLAnd star is “still very brokenhearted” over it, too.

Too Short Arrested for DUI, Drug Possession

Too Short, who is apparently a rapper, was arrested early this morning in Los Angeles for drunk driving and felony narcotics possession.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Short was pulled over for a traffic violation and when cops attempted to administer a breathalyzer to the artist… he took off on a sprint.
And then tripped and fell and was taken into custody.
But, WAIT, it gets even nuttier!
While cuffed in the back of the police cruiser, Too Short reportedly tried to dump his drugs.
