The hip hop star will not judge The X-Factor, but Simon Cowell himself sounds very close to naming the former Pussycat Doll as the second judge on his upcoming singing competition.
“I want her to do it, but we’ve got to get the deal done and find someone she has chemistry with,” Cowell tells TV Guide. “I absolutely adore her. She was fantastic on the U.K. X Factor and I’m hopeful it will happen.”
Cowell says Cheryl Cole is in the mix and also explains his connection to L.A. Reid, who has been confirmed for the panel.

Jennifer Lawrence Confirmed as Katniss Everdeen

The casting rumor has become an official reality for Jennifer Lawrence.
The Wrap reports that this Oscar nominee has been confirmed as Katniss Everdeen, the heroine at the center of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel series. Lawrence will star in a planned film trilogy that will include The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay.
The role of Katniss caps what has been an incredible year for Lawrence. The 20-year was a relative unknown just a few months ago and then rose prominence in Winter’s Bone.

We’ve known for years that Justin Bieber was talented.
We found out this week that Justin Bieber was also super intelligent, as evidenced by his ability to solve a Rubik’s Cube in 90 seconds.
Now, it’s been confirmed that Justin Bieber is also hilarious. The 16-year old drew on a mustache during a night out in London this week. Why? Heck… why not?!?

Zooey Deschanel May Play Betty Brant In Spider-Man Prequel

The Spider-Man prequel may have found their Betty Brant in actress Zooey Deschanel.
According to the PopCrunch announcement:
“Betty was a minor character in the previous Spidey movies, but Marc has big plans for her. He wants a strong performer to carry the role, and Zooey fits the bill perfectly. The role is hers if she wants it.”
Andrew Garfield of The Social Network has also been confirmed as the new Peter Park with Emma Stone also confirmed for the role of Gwen Stacy.
Rhys Ifans has also bee cast as the films villain Dr. Curt Connors/ Lizard.

Now, just six weeks later, it’s been confirmed that the former sitcom star is expecting his fifth child – with 29-year old Kayte Walsh!
Speaking to London’s The Daily Mail, Walsh’s father gave the couple and new family his blessing:

30 Rock actor, Rip Torn gets drunk-driving charges dismissed

[HMG] – In what may provide some proof of judicial balance after the legalized travesty of Lindsay Lohan’s last spell in court, it’s been confirmed that ‘30 Rock’ actor, Rip Torn has had his drunk-driving charges dismissed.
The 79-year old Texan was arrested on December 14th of 2008 near his home in Salisbury, Connecticut. Police said he was driving in the breakdown lane while clearly intoxicated, and with a Christmas tree tied to the roof of his car.

Lady Gaga Applies for Fashion Internship

(HMG) – Lady Gaga has applied for an internship at famed milliner Philip Treacy, British Vogue reports. Gaga has worked with Treacy before, collaborating on several headpieces she’s worn on stage. “The request came through a while ago,” a rep for Treacy said. “They get on well and she has applied for an internship though nothing has been confirmed yet.” Treacy, well-known in the fashion world, designed the hats for the 2005 wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.
