Selena Gomez may not be the hottest woman on the Maxim Hot 100, but the young singer isn’t too distressed over her ranking.
She is number-two, after all.
And what does she think of the magazine’s top choice, Miley Cyrus?
“She’s beautiful,” Gomez said Friday’s edition of “The TJ Show” on 103.3 in Boston, adding that she doesn’t understand why such a list even exists.
So we can compare her and Cyrus, of course! D-uh! Do so now and decide whether Maxim got this ranking right. Who looks hotter?

Mischa Barton Accused of Stiffing Sober Coaches

Mischa Barton is refusing to pay a team of sober coaches who claim the troubled actress racked up a huge bill for using their services back in 2009.
She was ordered to pay $95,000 (!) to Doctors’ Choice Nursing in 2011. Barton did not show up to answer the suit, so a default judgment was reached.
The nature of the services has been a mystery, until this week in court, when the owner of DCN explained that the nurses were hired to keep Mischa sober.
The owner did not specify which substance Mischa was abusing.

Downton Abbey Cast Lip Dubs to One Direction

Anderson Cooper: Blind, But Only Temporarily

Anderson Cooper just went blind, but lived to tell about it.
The CNN news fixture went on assignment last week for 60 Minutes in Portugal, and relayed his (temporary) experience with blindness Tuesday on his daytime show.
“I am in this beautiful coastal area shooting this story for 60 Minutes involving the water … I don’t want to go into details [on] what the story was,” Cooper said.
“But I am on the water for two hours shooting this story and it’s an overcast day. I wake up in the middle of the night, and it feels like my eyes are on fire.”

Phyllis Diller Dies at 95

Comedian Phyllis Diller, a groundbreaking comedian who paved the way for female comics in the generations that followed, has died at the age of 95.
Diller recently hurt her wrist and hip in a fall, and her health had been on the decline ever since. She had been living in hospice care at her home.
The mother of three children, Diller passed away in Brentwood, Calif.
Diller deconstructed the role of homemaker, a role society expected to be immaculate following popular sitcoms of the times like Leave it to Beaver.
