Mark Balelo Dies of Suspected Suicide; Storage Wars Star was 40

Two days after being arrested for a drug-related offense, Mark Balelo has been found dead of an apparent suicide. He was 40 years old.
According to TMZ, the Storage Wars star killed himself via carbon monoxide poisoning, as his body was found (by an employee) in his home’s garage in Simi Valley, California – with the door closed and the engine running.
Balelo was scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday to face charges related to this weekend’s arrest.
He allegedly warned his fiancee after his release from jail on Saturday that he feared he might hurt himself in some way.

David Rakoff, Award-Winning Author, Dead at 47

David Rakoff, an award-winning author best known for his dark humor and cynical outlook on life, passed away today after a long battle with cancer. He was 47.
Rakoff wrote for The New York Times and Newsweek, among other publications, and his essay collection “Half Empty” won the Thurber Prize for American Humor. He also penned the bestselling books “Don’t Get Too Comfortable” and “Fraud.”
Rakoff’s death was confirmed by Doubleday and Anchor Books.

The U.S. Supreme Court announced it will not hear an appeal of a lawsuit by plaintiffs – including Buena Park, Calif., Pastor Wiley Drake – claiming that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and so cannot legitimately hold the presidency.
The nation’s highest court threw out the case, hopefully the last of its kind.

Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings tough guy Sean Bean was stabbed in a bar fight the other night, but refused medical treatment. Bad ass!
The actor reportedly came to the aid of his model companion after a fellow pub-goer made some untoward comments on her topless posing past.
Fortunately, unlike his TV character who was just killed off Game of Thrones, Bean made it out alive. He wasn’t even badly hurt, it turned out.
