Amy Winehouse: Remembered by Father on One Year Anniversary of Death

Amy Winehouse died one year ago today.

And in honor of the sad occasion, her father Mitch has written a tribute to his daughter in The Huffington Post.

Amy Winehouse – “No More Jazz N’ Blues”

“Amy always surrounded herself with music, even during her darkest times,” Mitch writes. “Of course, I loved her voice – for me she was the greatest female vocalist of all time – but I also cherish Amy’s lyrics.”

Just this week, a new track by Winehouse (“No More Jazz N’ Blues”) surfaced online. Give it a listen above.

Mitch went on to say that he often listens to Amy’s debut studio album

Amy Winehouse’s London Home For Sale

The family of Amy Winehouse is selling the home in London’s Camden neighborhood where the singer lived, struggled and ultimately died last summer.

“It is with regret that we have to sell Amy’s house in Camden Square,” her father, Mitch, tweeted today. “It is empty and costing a fortune to secure it.”

The property, where Amy lived until her death at home on July 23, 2011, has become a meeting ground for mourners and fans of the “Rehab” singer.

“Amy and I both worked on the house and she loved it so much,” her father added. “I hope a lovely family buys it as it is so full of love.

Jean Paul Gaultier Pays Homage to Amy Winehouse at Fashion Show; Family Rages on Twitter

Designer Jean Paul Gaultier paid homage to Amy Winehouse’s unique style at his Paris runway show earlier this week. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

Wrong, if you’re the late singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse.

“We don’t support the Jean Paul Galtier [sic] collection. It is in poor taste,” the elder Winehouse tweeted, incensed at his daughter’s image being used to sell clothes.

“The family was upset to see those pictures. They were a total shock,” he told The Sun.

“We’re still grieving, and we’ve had a difficult week with the six-month anniversary of Amy’s death.” Mitch

Lady Gaga to Play Amy Winehouse in Biopic?

Amy Winehouse’s life, while tragic, would make an amazing movie.

The rise to stardom, the drugs, the disaster that is Blake Fielder-Civil, the late night melees and most of all the music … it’d be brilliant if the right woman played her.

Rumors are swirling that Lady Gaga herself covets that very role. And better yet, Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, supposedly gave his stamp of approval on the casting:

“I have heard Lady Gaga is keen to play Amy in a film,” the elder Winehouse is quoted as telling the U.K.’s Mirror. “I don’t know what her English accent is like.”

“It’s not just an English

Amy Winehouse Cause of Death Released: Severe Alcohol Over-Consumption

The mystery of what caused the death of Amy Winehouse has been solved.

Her family’s claim that drugs were not found in her system were correct; Other reports that she died of a seizure brought on by detoxing now appear less valid.

Amy Winehouse’s blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit when she passed away, directly resulting in her death, according to the coroner.

Amy Winehouse (1983-2011).

Winehouse died as a direct result of alcohol over-consumption, Suzanne Greenaway said, describing the final days of the 27-year-old a “death by misadventure.”

Amy Winehouse Death Report Sent to Some Dude

Amy Winehouse’s official death report, containing both highly personal and confidential information, was mailed to a random stranger instead of her family.

Must have been quite a surprise for the London resident who, as far as anybody can tell, has no connection to the late singer, who died this summer.

At least this stranger seems to have been an honest one: The material was turned in to a London police station. Still … how the heck did that happen?

A spokesman for the Metropolitan police explained the mix-up, saying that the paperwork was simply delivered to the wrong address, per The

Were Amy Winehouse and Reg Traviss Going to Get Married?

Reg Traviss, boyfriend of the late Amy Winehouse, said in a new interview that before her passing, the pair were talking seriously about getting married.

This is the first we’ve heard of it, but who knows. Maybe they were.

Reg shed light on what their wedding might be like and said that they had not set a date, but both knew they were destined to be together forever …

“You might say we were halfway through a conversation in our life together and then, suddenly, she disappeared,” said Reg Traviss of his late lady love.

“Absolutely we had talked about getting married. It wasn’t planned as

Amy Winehouse-Tony Bennett "Body and Soul" Video Released: See Her Final Recording!

It is both appropriate and sad that the video for “Body and Soul,” a duet by Tony Bennett and the late Amy Winehouse, has been released on her 28th birthday.

The duet, recorded earlier this year, would be Amy’s final recording. The soul singer passed away in late July, possibly due to a seizure brought on by detoxing.

Amy Winehouse Would Have Been 28 Today

Today is Amy Winehouse’s 28th birthday.

Alas, the singer – like Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain – never made it past 27. She tragically died in her London flat back in July.

On this occasion, we reflect on a star whose flame burned out far too soon, a victim of her addictions and certain nameless individuals who fed them.

R.I.P. Amy Winehouse (1983-2011).

While we would just as soon forget BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL, Amy’s musical legacy lives on. She transformed British music and influenced countless artists.

Mitch Winehouse: Amy Died of Detox Seizure

Amy Winehouse died trying to save her own life.

That would be the argument of her father, Mitch Winehouse, who continues to make the case that withdrawal killed Amy, not a major drug overdose that many suspected for obvious reasons. The singer passed away in July at age 27.

Why is Mitch so certain this happened?

“Everything Amy did, she did to excess,” he says on Anderson Cooper’s new show Anderson, debuting tomorrow. “She drank to excess and did detox to excess.”

It is true that no illegal drugs were found in his daughter’s system.

However, Mitch believes his daughter likely suffered an
