America’s Got Talent with Howard Stern: First Impressions?
So… that was it?
After months of hype and threats from the PTC, Howard Stern debuted on America’s Got Talent last night and initially joked with viewers: “These NBC executives must be out of their minds taking a risk on me, they should be fired immediately.”
He then, however, assured everyone that he knows how to “behave.” Except…
… didn’t NBC hire him to mostly misbehave? What’s the fun of a watered-down Howard Stern telling a contestant playing something called an “earth harp” that “I made my career out of originality, and I bow to you.”
The most risque line Stern crossed? When he told

Miley Cyrus Tweets Love for Total Bomb of a Movie
LOL, the coming-of-age drama starring Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore, opened in limited release this weekend. And we mean VERY limited release:
The movie played in seven cities across the country. Total. As a result, it earned about 1/1,000,000,000th of what The Avengers brought in: $46,500.
Still, Miley has taken to Twitter and expressed gratitude for the dozen or so folks who did shell out their hard-earned money for this unfortunate flop.
“Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL,” Cyrus Tweeted on Monday. “It is a film I loved making and I am proud of…. That’s really all that

The Parents Television Council is at it once again.
This time, the focus of the organization’s wrath is NBC and its decision to hire Howard Stern as a judge on the upcoming season of America’s Got Talent.
In a follow-up to its original statement, slamming the show’s decision to hire this controversial radio host, the PTC has now called for a boycott from all advertisers, sending a letter to 91 companies and urging them to consider their “media buy” in light of this “vulgar” new panelist.

American Idol Results: Who Made the Final 4?
At this stage, it’s difficult to be shocked by any elimination on American Idol.
Only five contestants remained heading into tonight, and all are quite talented, and all enjoyed mostly strong performances on Wednesday. Still, we didn’t see this ousting coming, not once Phillip was deemed safe… and Joshua… and Jessica…
It had to be Hollie going home, right?
Nope. Over 60 million votes were cast and the finalist who America sent packing was… Skylar Laine!
Yes, she struggled with “Fortunate Son,” but enough to get the boot? You tell us: Did Skylar deserve to go home at this point?

Newt Gingrich Drops Out of Presidential Race
Republican Newt Gingrich dropped out of the presidential race Wednesday, ending what was a turbulent, roller coaster bid for the White House.
With millions of dollars in campaign debt and just two GOP primary victories under his belt, the former House Speaker finally bowed out.
“Today I am suspending the campaign, but suspending the campaign does not mean suspending citizenship,” Gingrich said in lengthy remarks.
Gingrich deemed the campaign “a truly wild ride” in Arlington, Va., saying, “I could never have predicted either the low points or the high

Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato: The Next X Factor Judge?!?
With Britney Spears already on board, might Simon Cowell be giving up all notions of The X Factor as a singing competition?
It’s hard not to think the producer is simply aiming to rake in the ratings, considering the latest name reportedly on the table to join season two as a judge: Miley Cyrus.
Simply put, “there have been talks with Miley,” an X Factor insider tells Celebuzz, a rumor backed up by E! News.
Both outlets also report that Fergie, Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato are in the running to join Cowell, Spears and L.A. Reid on the panel. A decision will need to come within a month or

America’s Next Top Model Shake-Up: Who’s Out?
Hmmm…. upon second thought, perhaps we should change the headline of this post to: America’s Next Top Model Shake-Up: Who is NOT Out?

- Nigel Barker, a photographer/panelist.
America’s Next Top Model is currently in its 18th season, a cycle dubbed “British Invasion” because it features a handful of

American Idol Results: Elimination Night Shocker!
American Idol treated us to seven great performances last night.
But the remaining finalists were forced to look ahead on this evening’s results show, as America voted and revealed an inevitable, but sad result for one aspirant:
He or she is going home. Who’s on to the top six and who’s out?
It looked briefly like fan favorite Phillip Phillips might be in danger, but it came down to a surprising bottom three: Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone.
That’s right, arguably the three best singers remaining on the show were in danger of getting booted, making for the most

President Obama Voices Opposition to Minnesota Anti-Gay Marriage Bill
Though he does not officially support gay marriage, President Obama voiced opposition to a proposed anti-gay marriage ballot measure in Minnesota today.
Obama for America Minnesota Communications Director Kristin Sosanie said:
“While the President does not weigh in on every single ballot measure in every state, the record is clear that the President has long opposed divisive and discriminatory efforts to deny rights and benefits to same sex couples.”
“That’s what the Minnesota ballot initiative would do – single out and discriminate against committed gay and lesbian couples – and the

Rick Santorum Declares War on Porn
Rick Santorum sees sex in purely utilitarian terms.
If it’s not done with fertilizing an egg in mind, dude’s got no love for it. Any such act (or product, or film, or contraceptive) is JUST PLAIN WRONG, PEOPLE!!
The Republican presidential candidate and staunch social conservative wants to ban hard core adult films, calling them toxic to marriage and relationships.
The former Pennsylvania senator writes on his website:
“America is suffering from a pandemic of pornography. It contributes to misogyny and violence against women. It is a contributing factor to prostitution and sex
