The first “alien Earth” planet is likely to be spotted next year, according to astronomers.
An epic discovery that would cause humanity to reassess its place in the universe, the feat is believed to be possible, even likely, by scientists in 2013.
Researchers have honed in on a number of exoplanets in recent years that share key traits with our own world, such as size or inferred surface temperature.
They have yet to bag a bona fide “alien Earth.” But just wait, scientists say.

Jiroemon Kimura is the world’s oldest man … ever. He was born in 1897!
The 115-year-old recently became the oldest living human after the death of Dina Manfredini. Now he’s also officially the oldest man who has ever lived.

The previous holder of the title of oldest man ever was Christian Mortensen, a Danish-American, who lived 115 years and 252 days before dying in 1998.

Earlier this year, fans of the cult classic “Blade Runner” got worried when a company acquired the rights to make a spin-off movie and turn it into a franchise. The pre-production work moved slowly and the company seemed to have no real excitement in making an addition to the original 1982 movie, which is widely regarded as one of the best of all-time.
But the wheels are finally in circulation and the fans would be excited to know that the person chosen to direct the new “Blade Runner” movie is Ridley Scott, the same guy who directed the original movie nearly three decades ago.

We’ve seen the promo pics. Now Katy Perry’s music video for “E.T.” has been released. She and Kanye take us to a whole new dimension up in this piece.
The voluptuous star floats in space in extravagant costumes, singing and romancing a Wall-E doppelganger and then some other alien guy. Pretty cool.
All the while, Kanye West raps about getting probed by aliens while floating in a really fancy space ship. Then Katy turns into a minotaur or something.
