With her face plastered on tabloids and with a recent arrest on record, Christina Aguilera faced the press yesterday.
The singer made her first public appearance since being booked for public intoxication, telling journalists gathered for an event to hype NBC’s The Voice that life can be difficult in the spotlight.
“We’re only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about,” Aguilera said.

(HMG Celebrity News) - Finally some good publicity for Christina Aguilera, who has had a rough time of late, culminating, in her arrest for public intoxication on Tuesday, while her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, got a DUI.
But yesterday, Aguilera was officially announced as the third judge, joining Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, on NBC’s “The Voice,” their new singing competition reality show meant to rival Fox’s “American Idol”. The hip judging panel will not only judge, but they’ll coach the contestants, too.

New details have emerged on Christina Aguilera’s recent arrest, and they don’t make the singer or boyfriend Matthew Rutler look very good.
Sources tell TMZ that Christina and her man dined in a private room at posh Los Angeles restaurant Osteria Mozza until well past midnight. Deep into a couple bottles of wine, a fellow patron reportedly recognized Aguilera, asked the waiter to send her a drink and was told: “She’s already drinking a bottle of wine… or two.”
Hilarious.
Meanwhile, both Rutler and Aguilera have been released from jail. They are allegedly holing up in her Beverly Hills

[HMG Celebrity News] – After the atonal fiasco at last month’s Super Bowl you’d be forgiven for thinking life for Christina Aguilera couldn’t get any worse. You’d be misinformed. Today the 30-year old singer was arrested in a DUI case.
Sources close to the LAPD say Aguilera was a passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler. Officers noticed the car weaving all over the road in West Hollywood at around 2.45am this morning and did a traffic stop.

Exactly one week after her notable lyric snafu at Super Bowl XLV, the artist returned to a grand stage at the Grammy Awards. Teaming up with Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch, Martina McBride and Yolanda Adams for a tribute to Aretha Franklin, Aguilera remembered every word and received a standing ovation following the performance.
She then slipped and almost crashed off the stage, as seen toward the conclusion of the following video.

Christina Aguilera botched the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV and may have an obvious drinking problem. But she did receive a piece of good news this week.
She and Jordan Bratman reached a divorce settlement that was filed in court, and better yet, dude finally moved out of her house. He was still living in that piece!
Jordan, Christina and her new boyfriend Matt Rutler were all living under the same roof, along with their son Max. That’s not awkward at all, and explains a lot.

While her singing was great, Christina Aguilera messed up the actual lyrics to The Star-Spangled Banner at this years Super Bowl, a fact that she says has left her “devastated.”
Aguilera’s issue came when she sang:
“O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming” where she instead sang “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming…”
It’s not that Aguilera didn’t know the lyrics, she sang them perfectly during two NBC Finals games last year, perhaps standing on the largest sports stage of the year left her nervous or caught up in the moment.
