Charlie Sheen was shot down this afternoon in his legal bid to gain custody of sons Bob and Max away from strung-out ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
A judge ordered their custody pact to remain as is.
Everything will stay the same, despite Brooke’s recent issues, so the custody agreement Charlie and Brooke recently agreed on won’t change.
Brooke Mueller is believed to have fallen off the wagon in a big way last week, turning up at a pawn shop and then going MIA for several days.

Dancing With the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff will bear all in May issue of Playboy. A Twitter post this afternoon from Hugh Hefner of all people confirmed this.
“May issue of Playboy is unforgettable with Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff on the cover & nude inside,” wrote the octogenarian founder.
Not exactly something we would have predicted, but Karina certainly has the looks. Wonder if Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris vote for her on DWTS …

Faced with questions and Tweets about her participation in an Usher sex tape, Tameka Foster has responded today with the same basic answer over and over:
I had intercourse with my husband. Shoot me!
“NEWSFLASH!! BREAKING NEWS! GUESS WHAT??!!” Foster wrote this morning. “I have copulated w/my husband! O_O. Why is this news again?? #ConfusedTweet. End of discussion.”
The news, of course, is that Foster and Usher copulated… and filmed said copulation… and somehow left the footage on a computer they placed inside a car. That’s the story, at least.

Mike Starr, Former Alice in Chains Bassist, Found Dead

Mike Starr, the former bassist for Alice in Chains and a cast member on Celebrity Rehab in 2009, has died. He was 44 years old.
The musician’s body was found in a Salt Lake City home this afternoon.
Starr, who left the aforementioned band in 1993, was arrested last month for felony possession of a controlled substance, as Utah police say he had six Xanax pills and six Opana pills on him when he was busted.

David Arquette Injured in Head-On Car Crash

David Arquette was involved a head-on collision this afternoon. He was injured and hospitalized but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
He was in W. Hollywood when his car veered into oncoming traffic. David was behind a car that stopped suddenly, causing him to swerve to avoid it.
David then headed straight into oncoming traffic and slammed into a car going in the opposite direction. Paramedics quickly arrived on the scene.

In his latest rant – this time to TMZ, from his own backyard – Charlie Sheen insinuated that long-time publicist Stan Rosenfield lied in October when he claimed that Sheen’s Plaza Hotel breakdown was due to an allergic reaction.
As a result of this statement, Rosenfield issued the following statement this afternoon: “I’m unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned.”

One the same day Charlie Sheen checked into a rehab center, Demi Lovato checked out of one.
Lovato is already back in Los Angeles, following a two-month stay in an Illinois facility where she fought through what a rep originally described as “emotional and physical issues.”
In fact, these photos were snapped of the star this afternoon in Santa Monica. Isn’t it nice to see her smiling again?
Demi will continue to seek treatment in California, as insiders tell TMZ she hopes to return to a “regular routine” that involves a lot of time with her family.

Gabrielle Giffords was at the center of what President Obama has described as an “unspeakable tragedy” this morning.
The Arizona Congresswoman was one of 18 people shot – 12 of whom are injured, six reportedly killed – during a shooting in Tuscon. The public event was a meeting of constituents that took place outside a Safeway grocery store.
She underwent surgery this afternoon for a wound to the head, with Dr. Peter Rhee of the University Medical Center saying he’s “very optimistic about her recovery.”

Bruce Beresford-Redman may never be a free man again.
The former TV producer and suspected murderer has been denied bail by Los Angeles District Court Judge Susan Segal, who said in court today “I do not believe he can be awarded with bail for the allegations which he has been alleged… Mr. Redman presents a risk of flight.”
Beresford-Redman was taken into custody on November 16 and charged with the brutal killing of wife Monica Beresford-Redman. Her body was found in a Cancun sewer on April 8.
