Adam Lambert Calls Out Gay Community as "Catty"

Adam Lambert covers the latest issue of Instinct, a magazine that focuses on the LGBT community – and opens up to the publication on a topic that may cause some controversy for the former American Idol star.

“As a community, we’re a little bit resistant to a gay male pop star ourselves,” Lambert says. “It’s very easy for people to look at my origin, which is American Idol, and automatically assume that I’m a commercial sellout or a puppet or a flash in the pan.

“I don’t think I’m any of those things. There’s something weird there. We’re very eager to celebrate a strong female. But to

Adam Lambert Gets Personal, Aims to Liberate the Masses

Adam Lambert is simply a “crazy hedonistic rebel who wants to liberate the masses.”

That’s what this former American Idol star says in the latest issue of Fault, explaining to the magazine how his public persona does not always jibe with his private one.

“I’m not always as strong and confident as I may seem,” Adam says. “I work hard to project pride and poise when faced with judgement and heartache. That is how I cope. I feel a bit of pressure to set a certain example that suggests that I deserve my place in this industry. I’m hard on myself and critical.”

And how does his upcoming album,

Adam Lambert Labels Finland Fight "Childish, Irresponsible" [Video]

He’s already issued a couple statements on the incident, but Adam Lambert sat down with Ellen DeGeneres this week and addressed his fight with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen for the first time in person.

A quick refresher: Lambert and Koskinen were both arrested in late 2011 after they engaged in a drunken brawl just prior to Christmas.

“We had too much to drink. We screwed up,” the singer told the host. “There were no injuries, no violence. It was more of childish, foolish, messiness… I was a little irresponsible and I think what I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to my

Adam Lambert Tweets Embarrassment, Regret Over Arrest

Adam Lambert has added to his initial, post-arrest statement.

Soon after he and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen got into a drunken brawl in Finland, and were subsequently booked for assault, Lambert Tweeted a half-serious response about how alcohol and jet lag resulted in the incident.

But the ex-American Idol finalist included another message last night, apparently displeased with both his tone in the initial response, and the false reports that circulated in the wake of the publicized arrest.

“Violence is not to be taken lightly,” Adam wrote. “Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, no
