Adam Lambert did his own version of Bob Marley this week. But the real question is this:
Did he do the reggae legend proud?
Down Under in Australia to promote his album “Trespassing,” Lambert performed inside Sydney’s Top 40 Live Lounge and surprised those in attendance with his cover of “Is This Love,” a Marley favorite from 1978.
Give it a look and a listen now and prepare for Lambert to soon hit the States with a tour:

Adam Lambert has expanded on his new look.
Fresh off dyeing his hair blonde, the former American Idol runner-up and rumored future American Idol judge has freshly inked his forearm, getting a new tattoo that reads “Musica Delenit Bestiam Feram.
The Latin sentence translates to “music soothes the savage beast.”
Lambert is a busy man these days.
Aside from permanently marking his body and promoting his new album, the artist also filmed an upcoming guest-starring spot on Pretty Little Liars over the weekend. He’ll appear on that ABC Family drama’s special Halloween episode.

Adam Lambert covers the latest issue of Instinct, a magazine that focuses on the LGBT community – and opens up to the publication on a topic that may cause some controversy for the former American Idol star.
“As a community, we’re a little bit resistant to a gay male pop star ourselves,” Lambert says. “It’s very easy for people to look at my origin, which is American Idol, and automatically assume that I’m a commercial sellout or a puppet or a flash in the pan.
“I don’t think I’m any of those things. There’s something weird there. We’re very eager to celebrate a strong female. But toMore >
Adam Lambert is simply a “crazy hedonistic rebel who wants to liberate the masses.”
That’s what this former American Idol star says in the latest issue of Fault, explaining to the magazine how his public persona does not always jibe with his private one.
“I’m not always as strong and confident as I may seem,” Adam says. “I work hard to project pride and poise when faced with judgement and heartache. That is how I cope. I feel a bit of pressure to set a certain example that suggests that I deserve my place in this industry. I’m hard on myself and critical.”

Reports of Adam Lambert taking over as the lead singer of Queen, for a prolonged summer tour, may have been premature.
But the former American Idol runner-up has now confirmed that he’ll stand in as the frontman for this iconic rock band for one unique evening in England.
“I have been invited by Queen to sing one very special concert! Sonisphere at Knebworth July 7th!” the 30-year-old artist Tweeted last night, adding: “Sorry to be coy about the details the past few weeks, but I made a promise to keep it under wraps as best I could. Gonna be a surreal night!”

It’s a doubly great day to be an Adam Lambert fan today.
First, the singer announced that he would front an upcoming tour with the remaining band members of Queen, hitting up various arenas and stadiums in honor of late singer Freddie Mercury.
Now, Lambert has released the official music video for his latest single – off his soon-to-be-released album – “Better Than I Know Myself.” In it, we see two sides of the singer, as a pair of personalities square off; one is all dark and leather-y, the other calm, serene, sipping on tea even.

Adam Lambert is in full-on album promotional mode.
A few days after releasing the cover art for “Trespassing,” the former American Idol favorite is taking fans behind the scenes of his upcoming music video for the first single off that CD, “Better Than I Know Myself.”
“Sometimes you screw up or you say something to hurt your partner’s feelings, or you haven’t been supportive,” Adam says below. “This song basically owns that, says, ‘Look, I’m sorry. Sometimes I’m not perfect but without you I don’t know what I would do with myself. I need you because you are the only person that knows meMore >
He’s already issued a couple statements on the incident, but Adam Lambert sat down with Ellen DeGeneres this week and addressed his fight with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen for the first time in person.
A quick refresher: Lambert and Koskinen were both arrested in late 2011 after they engaged in a drunken brawl just prior to Christmas.
“We had too much to drink. We screwed up,” the singer told the host. “There were no injuries, no violence. It was more of childish, foolish, messiness… I was a little irresponsible and I think what I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to myMore >
Adam Lambert has added to his initial, post-arrest statement.
Soon after he and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen got into a drunken brawl in Finland, and were subsequently booked for assault, Lambert Tweeted a half-serious response about how alcohol and jet lag resulted in the incident.
But the ex-American Idol finalist included another message last night, apparently displeased with both his tone in the initial response, and the false reports that circulated in the wake of the publicized arrest.
“Violence is not to be taken lightly,” Adam wrote. “Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, noMore >
In a word: oops!
That is Adam Lambert’s reaction to the brawl he and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen got into last night, as the pair were arrested and interrogated by Finnish police after SERIOUSLY getting into it around 4 a.m. outside a bar in Helsinki.
“Jetlag+Vodka=blackout,” Lambert Tweeted this afternoon. “Jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it.”
At least these two appear to be on good terms again, as Koskinen also blogged soon after the incident: “Publicity is not easy, but also celebrities are just human. Love is not easy either, but it lastsMore >
Adam Lambert has reportedly been arrested in Finland.
Details are still coming in, but this much we know, according to a Perez Hilton source:
The ex-American Idol finalist got into a “huge fight” with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen outside of a bar in Helsinki called “Don’t Tell Momma.” Both were booked by local police and, as of early this morning, are sitting in separate jails in the area.
Finnish journalists claim that witnesses attempted to break up the brawl, only for Lambert to also attack the peace-makers. No one was seriously injured in the melee.

Adam Lambert is facing a lawsuit from a record label that claims he violated his contract by appearing on season eight of American Idol.

Adam Lambert loves his fashion.
So much so that the former American Idol finalist has taken a controversial stance on John Galliano, the former chief designer by House of Dior who declared in February that he loves Hitler and was found guilty of hate speech in a French courtroom earlier this month.
