The Internet is run by cats. This is a scientific fact.

As such, it was really only a matter of time before all the cat videos online were honored in some officially-sanctioned capacity, and the first annual Cat Video Film Festival at Minneapolis’ Walker Art Center this week did just that.

More than 10,000 were on hand as Henri 2, Paw de Deux (below) was crowned the winner of the people’s choice award, a.k.a. The Golden Kitty!

Henri 2, Paw de Deux

The tongue-in-cheek, quasi-high brow prize-winning film is in French with English subtitles, dripping with feline ennui, irony and

Karl Rove Jokingly Suggests Someone Should Murder Todd Akin; Senate Candidate Not Pleased

For joking that Akin should be bumped off, obviously.

Businessweek reports that Rove spoke about Akin – who is facing calls to drop his bid for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat – at a GOP donors’ breakfast in Tampa.

The site says Rove quipped to the audience: “We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!”

Akin’s office issued a statement calling the quote “deeply disturbing,” given that the FBI is

Sorry, Good Morning America. You’ve been scooped.

Following the announcement that Robert Pattinson had scheduled his first post-scandal interview with that ABC program, Comedy Central has now stepped in to make a correction:

The Twilight Saga stud will actually sit across from Jon Stewart on Monday’s edition of The Daily Show.

The appearance was booked far in advance, as part of Pattinson’s promotion of Cosmopolis, but given the nature of this comedic series, it’s hard not to wonder if Stewart won’t at least make some reference to another famous Stewart.

Robert Pattinson Wonders: Why Do People Cheat?

Robert Pattinson is yet to speak out regarding Kristen Stewart’s admitted affair with Rupert Sanders.

“There’s a thing I’ve never got, that is, why do people cheat?” Pattinson asked in the article. “I can understand the impulse, but not how you can keep two relationships going at the same time for long. This usually happens to people with children.”
