Shia LaBeouf got punched in the face in bar fight

(HMG Celebrity News) – At age 24, Shia LaBeouf has an enviable acting resume but the guy seems to still find his way into some rather pedestrian trouble, like being arrested in 2007, for of all things, unlawful smoking, and misdemeanor criminal trespassing.  LaBeouf who has said in the past that he is “very serious” about his career and has made “a calculated effort to stay away from the party scene, apparently does his drinking at a local bar called Mad Bulls Tavern in Sherman Oaks, CA.  Somehow LaBeouf was placed in handcuffs after a fight at a bar last night, but was eventually released. Shia’s rep, Melissa Kates, confirms that story to TMZ, but the background of the story is in slight dispute. Sources close to Shia claim he was jumped on his way out of the bar and punched in the face. However according to one or two of the patrons, it was Shia who got a little rowdy and ended up getting punched in the face.  The later version does seem to fit his on and off screen persona pretty well.
