Rebecca Black gets 100m YouTube views, covered by Glee[HMG Celebrity News] – Justin Bieber’s emergence on You Tube caused dozens of tuneless pretenders to try the same route to stardom. Among them was Rebecca Black. Her debut song ‘Friday’ has been called ‘the worst song ever’ but it just hit 100-million views on You Tube.

And she did it faster than Bieber.

Rebecca – who’s 13 – hit the 100-million mark in just 63 days. It took 17-year old Justin 67 days to do the same thing after ‘Baby’ was released a year ago.

Mind you, Justin can point to the fact that about 2-million of Becky’s 100-million viewers hit the ‘Dislike’ button. And ‘Baby’ is now at 519,800,000+ views – so she’s got a long way to go.

As if 100-million views wasn’t enough good news the cast of ‘Glee’ are also planning to cover ‘Friday’ in a future episode centered around a prom. Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet and Mark Salling will tackle the much-parodied lyrics and Fox is probably praying they can keep a straight face.

Meanwhile, in what’s clearly an effort to prove she’s not a ‘one-hit wonder’ Rebecca’s now at the ‘Flying Pig’ studios in LA working on an EP with music producer Charlton Pettus, best known for his work with the 80′s Brit band, ‘Tears for Fears.’

Do you think Rebecca deserved 100-million hits, or should she perhaps get more? Glee obviously likes her but let’s hear your reviews…
