NYPD Blue actress, Garcelle Beauvais files for divorce from alleged cheating husband

[HMG] – In April we told you how former ‘NYPD Blue’ actor, Garcelle Beauvais sent an email to all her husband, Mike Nilon’s friends at Hollywood talent agency, CAA, claiming he was having an affair. Well, now she’s sent Mike something else – Divorce papers.

The ex-couple married in 2001 but have now lived apart since April 9. They would have celebrated their 9-year anniversary on May 12, but Garcelle filed for divorce two days before and is apparently unsure how she’ll move on.

“I’m taking it one day at a time and learning how strong I am,” she told E! when asked how’s she coping. “I don’t know…I have kids, so I don’t know.”

Her only firm plans are for a Summer vacation with the former couple’s two sons – 2-year-old twins, Jax and Jaid. Garcelle is seeking joint custody, and says her goal for the break is to keep things “light and happy.”

The 43-year old Haiti-born model began her career at age 17 in New York, doing print ads for Mary Kay, Clairol and Avon. She’s also strutted the catwalk for Calvin Klein and Isaac Mizrahi, done a nude spread in Playboy, and runs the children’s jewelry label Petit Bijou” [Little Jewel.]

There’s no word on the status of Mike’s alleged affair, but Garcelle has no regrets about sending that email

“I was angry. And no, I don’t regret it,” she’s since told the scribes.

As for Mike, he’s made no comment so far on either the email or the divorce.
