Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth(HMG) – Maybe Miley’s little drinking escapade in Madrid, was an attempt to drown her sorrows?  On the heels of a rough week where her parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus announced they are divorcing, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who became an item after costarring in The Last Song together, have broken up. It’s been rumored for a few months that the pair were having problems, and in June, Cyrus even took to her website to assure fans that they were still together and “so happy.” They first split this past August only to rekindle their romance in September. Hemsworth has been back in his native Australia of late and was been seen out with model Yolanda Vendy at a nightclub in Melbourne last week, signaling he was back on the market. Meanwhile Miley, 17, who is in Madrid, preparing to perform at the MTV European Music Awards Sunday, was photographed apparently with a beer in her hand surrounded by male admirers.  With all the drama in her life and the pressures of being a Disney teen star, many worry about Miley trying to grow up to fast.  I worry about this too, but I also see signs that she could turn out to be a very strong independent woman who might have the inner strength to get through all this without plunging into the same bad traps of fame that so many other childhood stars  have fallen into.
