Mel Gibson’s lawyers to bid for sole custody, is Oksana screwed?
[HMG Celebrity News] – In another sad episode of the legal war between Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva, Mel’s lawyers now plan to ask a Judge to grant him sole custody of baby, Lucia because Oksana broke the rules and talked to the press.
On Monday the lawyers will ask for sole custody, and that Oksana only be allowed to visit the baby during the day, with supervision. They claim that her ‘false and derogatory statements’ to the media and frequent attempts to damage Mel’s character show she is ‘not acting in the child’s best interests.’
TMZ reports that Judge Gordon has warned Oksana she could lose custody if she talked to the media, so Mel’s guys have a case. And last night’s performance on Larry King Live gave them a perfect example.
Oksana claimed on the show that Mel hit her, choked her and waved a gun at her during the alleged assault on January 6th.
“Mel actually assaulted me while I was holding the baby,” she told Larry. “I ran into my son’s bedroom and told him, ‘Mel’s crazy.’”
According to the alleged victim, 12-year old Alexander [her son from her last high-profile romance with Timothy Dalton] hid behind the bed, and Oksana stood with Lucia, “like a mother protecting her cubs,” so she claims.
Mel then apparently entered the room and struck her twice; “He hit me and choked me in front of my son, and brandished a gun at me,” Oksana mewled.
But despite this event she admitted she still gave Mel one last chance;
“He asked me for the last chance,” she revealed. “He begged. He cried. He cried on his knees. What am I supposed to do?”
Stop making stuff up?
The conversation then moved to the notorious tapes. Why did she make them, asked King.
“I started taping because I thought, ‘I’m actually not going to live through the night,’ and I wanted my mother to be able to prove that if I’m dead, this is who did it.”
Mel recently admitted to slapping, not punching Oksana during a fit of hysteria [hers,] but denied it was anything more.
And the 54-year old actor seems unfazed by these latest tales. On Tuesday, Mel and his soon-to-be-ex wife, Robyn shared a joyous night celebrating their son Milo’s 21st birthday at ‘Musso and Frank’s restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard.
The sparring ex-lovers are due back in court on November 22, when the Judge will rule on financial and custody details. And she broke the rules by talking to Larry, so this is where all her claims could go pear-shaped.
