Kate Winslet - Leonardo Dicaprio[HMG] – Fake romance is something all actors can do. Some not just on screen. But Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed that Kate Winslet ‘freaked out’ when the pair had to fake it for ‘Revolutionary Road.’

Despite being close friends since their blockbusting duet in 1997’s ‘Titanic,’ Leo, 35, says Kate still couldn’t handle the stress of the film’s more intimate scenes – because her soon-to-be-ex husband, Sam Mendes was the Director.

“It was a difficult time,” says Leo, who plays Kate’s husband. “She was really worried that Sam wasn’t bothered by his wife making out with another guy right in front of him. I told her it was only acting, but she kept saying, ‘This is really weird.’”

It gets worse: Sam even offered advice;

“When Sam started telling her exactly how to have sex with me she didn’t like it at all,” DiCaprio shares. “She was freaking out because she was having sex with her best friend – me – while her husband directed. But I didn’t find it weird at all because that’s part of acting.”

34-year old Kate and Sam, 45, announced their separation in March after seven years of marriage. They have a five-year-old son, Joe. Meantime, Leo  – who is currently dating 25-year old model, Bar Refaeli – believes the pair enjoyed being married but their hectic work schedules just drained all the romance.

“She loved being a wife,” he tells the Herald. “Some people are meant to be married and Kate’s one of them, but this business can be a killer for marriages.”

Leo also confesses he’s lost interest in marriage after seeing so many fellow actors endure a divorce.

“I don’t know whether I’ll ever get married. I’ve seen too many supposedly happy marriages go down in flames.”
