The apparent romance between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber has kept fans guessing for months, but last night the crowd at Selena’s show at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA got tangible proof – mid-way through her show Justin joined her on the stage.

Apparently channeling Tweety-Pie in a loud, yellow shirt the 17-year old bounced on stage and gave his girlfriend a hug before diving into a spirited rendition of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me a River.’ And the crowd loved it!

And just to give them even more to talk about he also sang ‘Favorite Girl.’

Once the show wrapped Justin then got on Twitter and told his 11-million fans about the night’s events;Justin Bieber serenades Selena Gomez on stage [video]

“Had a #greatnight and surprised the people. felt good to be on stage. nothing is changing that.” he tweeted Then added; “@selenagomez you did great tonight. Proud of you.”

Justin’s said to be taking the Summer off from touring, but he’s also working on a new album and seems excited by the prospect of being back at work;

“More excited than ever to get back in the studio and make this #newalbum,” he told his feathery fans. “Miss the tour and want to give you all new music. I do this because I love music.”

Selena also kept her Twitter friends up to date – She was 19 on July 22nd and thanked the fans for the enormous response;

“HappyBirthdaySelena is a trending topic,” she says on her stream. “Thank you all so much for a great birthday. Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes, I love you all.”
