Jeremy London’s abductor says ‘ordeal’ was a joyride
[HMG] – In a telling sequel to the story told by Party of Five actor, Jeremy London about being ‘kidnapped,’ the man accused of the crime, Brandon Adams, says the actor is just making stuff up.
London told Palm Springs police he was changing a tire on the afternoon of June 10 when Adams and two other men offered to help. He was then – so he says – kidnapped in his own car, held at gunpoint and ‘forced to smoke drugs.’
Brandon, 26, who is now in a cell on $500,000 bail, disagrees – He says the whole trip was a consensual joy-ride, fueled by drugs and some booze.
“There was no gun. There was never a pipe,” Brandon told Radar. “We got drunk and I hooked him up with some Ecstasy and Xanax and we took a joyride and partied for hours.”
Brandon says he and his uncle met Jeremy and his wife, Melissa, outside a 7-11, where the couple were already ‘acting paranoid.’ Then a police cruiser rolled by.
“When they saw the cops, they ran into the store,” Adams recalls. “Afterward, they came back and got into their car. I noticed it had a flat and I thought it was strange they would drive away.”
But they did. Later, Brandon, his uncle and a friend found the couple parked in an alley. The tire was the problem, so they helped London change it. Then he offered the three a ride home.
“As soon as we got in the car Jeremy asked if we could get him Xanax and Oxycontin. Melissa was asking for some too,” Brandon explains. “I told him I could, but I wanted a couple of beers. He agreed.”
Melissa didn’t like Brandon much, so she asked to be dropped off at home. This accomplished, the foursome then embarked on what Jeremy called his “ordeal.”
“Jeremy wanted to drink, so we bought alcohol and just got wasted,” Adams says. “We went driving around my neighborhood, handing out beer to my friends and people on the street. We were having a good time.”
As the joyride progressed, Jeremy became ‘erratic and irritated,’ according to Adams, and demanded the pills.
“I hadn’t been able to get any up to then, but I got him three ecstasy and three Xanax. He took all six at once — He was out of his mind high!” Adams remembers.
The joy-ride ended at Brandon’s apartment, where they hung out with his’ wife and six children. But Melissa told police her husband ‘escaped’ after one of the kidnappers took him to their sister’s house.
“That’s so far from the truth,” Brandon told the scribes. ” I brought him to my home, then I drove him to his neighborhood and dropped him off. He checked into a hotel at 2am and stayed there.”
Brandon’s story blows a hole in Jeremy’s press-seeking tale, especially when it’s combined with the fact that both he and Melissa have done rehab for addictions to pills — Particularly Xanax.
Jeremy was also reportedly high on the same pills last Saturday, when police were called to Palm Springs’ Viceroy Hotel, where he and Melissa were staying.
A source says the actor “freaked out” when his credit card was denied at the desk and began to swallow “a bottle-full” of the powerful anti-anxiety meds, with alcohol;
“He was stumbling around, even after the bartender cut him off,” is their tale.
Police were also in attendance on Tuesday at the rented home where Jeremy and Melissa are staying. They’d got into a fight and London spent the night in his car.
Meanwhile, Mr. Adams has concerns for his future – He could face life in jail unless London recants.
“I have six kids, a wife, and another kid on the way, ” he told the reporters. “I have a lot to loose. He’s not telling the truth about what happened.”
