Demi Lovato has said that one particular person cannot be blamed for her media breakdowns. Speaking in a recent sit-down with Elle magazine, the Skyscraper-crooner refused to lay the blame on former beau Joe Jonas and insisted, “I wouldn’t credit my meltdown to a guy.”

But she did admit that her failed love affair with the middle Jonas contributed to her eventual collapse. After saying that, she once again downplayed the effect of that event on her life and said that there were a lot of other factors involved too. It should be noted that since their much-publicized breakup, Joe and Demi have had no contact with each other.

Remembering her pre-rehab behavior, the former Disney star said, “I was completely out of line all summer. Just the worst attitude – totally ungrateful.”

At that very moment, the “Here We Go Again” star realized that things have gone out of her hands. She said, “When you punch someone on a plane, enough is enough. Right after, I texted my mom and just said, ‘I’m sorry.’ ”

She also shed light on the excuse made by her former publicist when media asked her to explain the cut marks on her client’s left wrist. She explained, “I don’t think I would have been ready to talk about [my problems] then, but I could’ve come up with something better than gummy bracelets. Needless to say, that publicist is no longer with us. [Pause] I mean, she’s alive.”
