Rene Angelil, Rene-Charles Angelil and Celine Dion[HMG Celebrity News] – In the first feint lines of a story that should soon be front-page news, Céline Dion has entered hospital to prepare for the birth of her twins.

After enduring six unsuccessful IVF treatments, Celine, 42, announced her condition in May. And today’s statement from St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida says she’s still doing well;

“Ms. Céline Dion has been admitted to St. Mary’s for observation at the recommendation of her doctors,” it reads. “She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is standard for any patient with twin pregnancies in this setting.”

The statement assures her legions of fans this is just routine, and is done “to ensure the patient can be in close contact with their doctors and clinical resources, leading up to the birth.”

Last week the less fabulous blogs claimed Céline had scheduled a C-section to deliver her twins on October 22, and had also made ‘outrageous demands’ of the hospital staff. But her husband denies this flat out.

“There is nothing scheduled,” 68-year old music executive Renee Angélil told People. “We do not have a date for the babies’ birth.”

And the hospital’s staff have also dismissed all the stories;

“Rumors have circulated that Ms. Dion made demands of St. Mary’s. These rumors are false,” says their press release. “At no time did Ms. Dion or her husband make any demands, and she is not scheduled at any date for delivery She is being treated as any other patient who comes to St. Mary’s.”

But the hospital’s bosses also shared this odd piece of news;

“Although the family did not ask us to do so, the hospital has chosen to enhance our security for the convenience and safety of all our patients and their families within our facility.”

So there were no demands…it’s sheer coincidence that these highly-trained marksmen in flack jackets, with AK-47’s are now patrolling the grounds.
