He won’t be dealing with any oversized mushrooms, but Antonio Banderas has landed the role of Super Mario in The 33.
The upcoming film will focus on the amazing true story of 33 Chilean miners who were trapped underground for 69 days in 2010.

Yahoo to Buy Tumblr For $1.1 Billion

As part of its ongoing effort to reinvent itself, Yahoo agreed to buy the blogging service Tumblr for about $1.1 billion in cash, The New York Times reports.
If the deal is approved, it would be the biggest yet under the tenure of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and a major move into social media for the company.
It would also top Facebook’s 2012 acquisition of Instagram for $1 billion.
Founded in 2007, Tumblr has a young, active user base, with over 108 million image-centric blogs. Owning that would expand Yahoo’s user base.

Warriors Fans Killed in Shooting After Playoff Loss

A pair of Golden State Warriors fans, on their way home from Oracle Arena after their team was eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, were killed in a shooting Thursday night.
Christopher Beardon and Terrance Marks were headed home in a white Porsche Panamera when someone in a SUV pulled alongside their vehicle on Interstate 880 and opened fire with a semi-automatic.
Beardon – who was behind the wheel – was killed by the gunfire; Marks was hit by an oncoming car after the Porsche hit a guardrail and he either fled or was ejected.
He was also shot in the drive-by.

While Christoph Waltz was giving an interview to a French news program called Le Grand Journal, shots were fired in the background and the anchors, Oscar winner and audience members all fled for cover.
Sources confirm to TMZ that the man behind the shooting has been apprehend and may have been using blanks.

Stephanie Redus Arrested For Putting 3-Year-Old Son Up For Adoption on Craigslist

Just when you thought you’d heard it all, Texas mother Stephanie Redus, 29, was arrested after attempting to put her three-year-old son on Craigslist.
For adoption.
Redus, 29, told authorities that she placed the ad because she struggles with depression and anxiety. She is currently pregnant. The ad stated:
“Hi, I’m trying to adopt out my three-year-old son. I’m not in a good place in my life and don’t feel like I can care for him properly, but don’t know where to start.”

Diane Lane Divorce: Papers Already Filed, Separation Took Place Months Ago

Diane Lane has already pulled the trigger in her divorce from Josh Brolin, filing the papers in L.A. Superior Court and citing irreconcilable differences.
Lane signed her divorce documents on Valentine’s Day, citing February 13 as the date of their official separation, although sources say it was earlier than that.
“They’ve been separated for several months. This was a hard decision for both of them to make,” says a source close to Diane Lane and Josh Brolin.
