Kim Jong Un is Time’s 2012 Person of the Year … if the magazine’s online readers have their say anyway. He was chosen by a landslide margin, hilariously.
Time readers picked North Korean leader over President Barack Obama, Gabrielle Douglas, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Jon Stewart in an online vote.
It doesn’t mean Kim will be named Time’s official Person of the Year 2012, which is announced December 19; that call is entirely the Time editorial board’s.

Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 special aired last night, and the #1 most fascinating of the electic mix of individuals was revealed at last:
The special highlighted the achievements and antics of those that kept us enthralled for the past 12 months, from Ben Affleck to Gabby Douglas to Honey Boo Boo.
But it was Petraeus, the decorated U.S. military hero now disgraced by an affair that forced his resignation as director of the CIA, who took the top prize.
“He is, without question, one of the finest officers and minds of his generation,” saidMore >
When Anderson Cooper isn’t dodging explosions in Gaza (see video below), he’s going off on Twitter followers who accuse him of covering the Israel-Hamas conflict unfairly.
Pamela Weiss found this out first hand earlier in the week when she ripped his reporting from the Middle East. In response, he dropped a Twitter bomb of sorts on her.Bomb Explodes Near Anderson Cooper
Weiss, a self-described “social media junkie” and “foodie,” criticized his story an Israeli air strike on a media center, writing “Report a fair story. Report facts.”

Lindsay Lohan has HAD IT with Michael Lohan, and the events of this month – leaking the phone call during her fight with her mom, and Friday’s intervention attempt – were the last straw.
The actress will seek a restraining order against him, according to reports.
Lindsay’s mom has been encouraging her to do this ever since MiLo secretly recorded and leaked a phone call she made detailing the epic fight with Dina earlier this month.
LiLo wasn’t on board with seeking legal protection … until now.
Originally she felt that cutting him off was good enough; now she thinks the onlyMore >
Police showed up at Lindsay Lohan’s Beverly Hills home yesterday after her deranged dad and others tried to stage an intervention to get her into rehab.
MiLo believes his daughter is off the wagon and that’s why she has (allegedly) become a no-show for post-production work on her upcoming movie The Canyons.
He told TMZ that Lindsay hangs out with “a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts” and that her entire team is on board with the intervention. Except …

Stevie Nicks has issued a public apology.
A couple days after the Fleetwood Mac singer got involved in the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey feud by referring to the former as a “little girl” who needed to be choked, the artist has come out with a statement.
“I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj’s behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews,” Nicks tells Just Jared.
“It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her lifeMore >

Without taking sides, and with an eye toward quieting the critics, American Idol producers have released a statement in regard to this week’s simmering Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey feud.
“This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had,” the producers said in response to Minaj going off on Carey during a taping in Charlotte.
“We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next American Idol.”
If reports are true, Carey and Minaj don’t agree.

On top of cursing Mariah Carey off during a heated exchange on the American Idol set this week, did Nicki Minaj also threaten to murder the pop star?
Yes, according to Barbara Walters. Wait… what?!?

How does a Real Housewife hit rock bottom? When she has no one left to hear her whine. That’s the place Teresa Guidice found herself in during “Public Displays of Rejection” and we’ll recap the crying and cursing in our THG +/- review.
What doesn’t Teresa understand? Jacqueline was upset about the magazine saying she was going to jail and confronted her about it. Minus 10 because I don’t see what’s the big deal.
But Teresa calls it an ambush. I’ll give her a plus 3 because once Caroline jumped into the fray it sort of felt like one but that wasn’t Jacqueline’s intention. Teresa’s biggestMore >
Alex Trebek suffered a heart attack yesterday and was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, but the Jeopardy! is expected back on his feet soon.
What THG wishes for Alex Trebek. What is… a full recovery?

The popular trivia series just won a Daytime Emmy for Best Game/Audience Participation Show last night. It’s the program’s 14th overall.
When he saw 90-year-old lady being knocked to the ground outside a convenience store by an mugger who ran away, Robb Revelli sprang into action.
Revelli, 36, helped the woman grab her credit cards that fell during the attack, then asked if she wanted to go to the hospital or chase the attacker.
“If she was down, I was down to go get him,” he said, “and we did.”
The pair caught up to the attacker, 27-year-old Damarea Johnson.
“[I] caught up to him and put him in a headlock, and he started throwing money,” Revelli (pictured), a former rugby player, told the Oakland Tribune.

So much for that Kim Kardashian vs. Beyonce feud.
The wife of Jay-Z and the pretend girlfriend of Kanye West sat together Friday night at a Watch the Throne concert in Birmingham, England, smiling, laughing and dancing it up as their men performed on stage.
“Kim and Beyonce were dancing all night! They even went into the mosh pit!” a witness recounts to Us Weekly. “It was the most hectic thing ever!”
Previous reports stated that Beyonce took issue with Kim dating Kanye, partly due to the difference in upbringings between Knowles and Kardashian and partly, we presume, because Beyonce hasMore >
Saturday night honored the best in non-prime time TV as the Daytime Emmy Awards were handed out at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
“Daytime” is classified as 2 a.m. until 6 p.m., so there was a lot of ground to cover for Anderson Cooper and Oscar the Grouch, who served as co-hosts.
Despite two soap operas biting the dust this year (All My Children and One Life to Live), the annual award gala was a positive one across the board.
Notably, despite a ratings dip and rumors of Ann Curry’s firing, NBC’s Today Show nabbed the award for Outstanding Morning Show program just theMore >
W.i.P. nightclub feels Tony Parker’s lawsuit against them is baseless and that there is no way they could have predicted the melee that went down.
NBA star Parker filed a $20 million lawsuit this week, claiming the club is responsible for the Chris Brown-Drake fight in which he was injured.
Parker sustained a scratched retina from shards of glass flying after Brown, Drake, Meek Mill and threw down, requiring eye surgery as a result.
Tony says it’s obvious “there was bad blood between Drake and Brown” (allegedly over Rihanna) and that W.i.P. staff should have known better.
