Amy Winehouse drinking herself to death?
After what must rank as the most disastrous, ill-advised concert in recent memory friends of Amy Winehouse say they’re worried she could be literally drinking herself to death.
The 27-year old whose innate talent won her six Grammys with her very first album is now reported to have indulged in several “out of control” drinking sprees since the drunken fiasco in Belgrade last month.
“Her drinking is out of control,” one friend shares. “She’s rattling about at home in North London drinking herself into oblivion with vodka. Three times this week she’s been so drunk she passed out.”
The situation’s reached such a low-point even Amy’s boyfriend, film director Reg Traviss has apparently refused to see her when she’s drunk.
Amy finished rehab in London just days before the Belgrade concert and sources say she did not even want to perform that night, she was forced to go on stage by her helpers.
Her rehab visit also delayed work on her long-overdue comeback album and no-one is now sure when – or if – it will ever get made. They claim she’s even been told by her doctors she will die if she doesn’t quit drinking. And soon.
