‘X-Men: First Class’ Casts Actors for Beast, Banshee and Havok
(HMG) – The new “X-Men: First Class” is shaping up to be an exceptionally good looking group of spandex wearing super-heroes and villians. Since hiring Scottish James McAvoy (as Professor X) and German Michael Fassbender (as Magneto), other key roles have now been filled. On the men’s side, Caleb Landry Jones, who will appear in The Last Exorcism in August, and The Social Network in October, will take on the role of Banshee, while Nicholas Hoult of Clash of the Titans, will portray Beast, in the Matthew Vaughn-directed film. There is a rumor going round that “Kick-Ass” star Aaron Johnson is poised to put on Cyclops’ visor, but that seems to be not true. Lucas Till, the actor who played Miley Cyrus’ beau in Hannah Montana: The Movie, is said to be in negotiations to play the role of Havok, the brother of Cyclops. On the female side “She’s Out Of Your League” hotty Alice Eve is being lined up to play Mystique. “X-Men: First Class” begins filming next month, centers on Charles Xavier (James MacAvoy) and Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender) — Professor X and Magneto, as young men as they discover their powers for the first time.
